I already bought all of the Magic Beans
I hit up every minigame store already, including Bombchu Bowling
I actually bought the Hylian Shield at full price


I'm trying to blow as much dough as I can before I give the running guy the bunny ears

Also, I'm playing the remake on 3ds

I also haven't played OoT in about 10 years

I've always considered this game as one of my all time favorites

but I dunno, I'm not quite feeling it right now. and thats never happened before with this game. I'm having fun collecting all of the stuff I remember, but I'm a bit sad that I might have to say its losing that magical touch with me. Especially since I considered it one of my all time favs since it came out

I want to blame the fact that its on a handheld or something, but that doesn't make sense

Now i'm scared to play FFVII

I found enough heart pieces to where I have 9 hearts right now, (Thought thats including the 2 Full Hearts from Deku Tree and Dodongo Cavern)

I have 30 Gold Tokens

and I got Din's Fire and Fayore's Wind, as well as the 2 Deku stick upgrades, 2 slingshot upgrades, 2 bomb upgrades, and so far 1 Deku Nut upgrade (IIRC you show the Mask of Truth to those deku guys for the last one. I'm sure the remake fixed the glitch)

The only time I actually spent money while playing OoT was when I did a "no sword unless required" run. Even after constantly buying bombs and arrows, I STILL had way too much money.

Most Zelda games have nothing to spend money on.

I said f*** it and gave him the mask with a full wallet

I found 3 gold rupees

then I caught all 10 big poes at 50 rupees each

I loved the bank system in Majora's Mask because of this

and one of the reasons why didn't like WW when the took it away

I remember stocking up on Blue Potions before the last dungeon, but it seems like you're going for a 100% run with 20 hearts, so there really isn't a point.

Bank was a necessity in MM because of the time rewind mechanic, sadly.

If you really want to spend, learn to love bombchu bowling basically.

Or waste all of your bombs practicing glitches like super slide and bomb hovers

they took away the ability of getting the Fire Arrow "Early"

Early being as soon as you get the Longshot

and when you're SUPPOSED to get it is after you beat the dungeon you get the longshot in >_>

Yea, its stupid but its also so very minor of change.


I did the water temple. I always forget why its hard, then I do it, and I'm like, yea, its tough, but I never remember WHY it was hard. So I'm gonna TRY to articulate my thoughts


I like the fact that they tried making the water temple easier. They put signs up indicating where you go to raise the water levels. and also put other signs


The water temple is hard because of the multiple levels, multiple rooms, and hidden rooms while backtracking depending on what water level you have on. A few occasions you have to raise the water level but go back to an underwater room

it becomes problematic when you realize you missed a key. Suddenly you have like 12 rooms to search, and its very time consuming to raise the levels, then check each room, then go back and raise the levels again, and then check the other rooms, etc.

Its just super tedious and it wears on you, and its not entirely easy to remember what rooms lead where.

you end up going back and forth alot

Not only that, its the memory of it being hard. Doing this dungeon as a kid is even worse

I've seen videos of people questioning what made the temple hard and people can't really answer


I guess I can see why, I can't really answer it right now either, and I just completed it >_>.

Its just...an experience I guess

I try to 100% the Kid era being the time skip as much as I can, but I ComPLETELY forgot that you could throw bugs in the soft soil and spawn a Gold Skulltulla

not that it matters, I already have over 50, but still

100%ing the kid era also includes getting things you're not supposed to. Like some of the heart pieces that require the magical leaf as an adult, in such places as the top of Dodongo's Cavern and behind the waterfall in Gerudo's valley

I always return the favor and try to 100% the game as much as I can before beating the Forest Temple and being able to return to the kid era


Obviously I need to get at least the bow before being able to do anything else
Already got the Biggoron sword and I have 12 hearts

I just passed the Desert without the lens of truth!

IIRC you have to beat the Fire and Water temples to be able to go into the Shadow Temple, and you definitely need the lens of truth there

also, the problem with Bombchu bowling is that I actually played ALOT of it as a kid already. I'm really good, so I keep winning my money back >_>

I got the bomb upgrade and the heart piece on my first try playing the remake. Still got it!

Its implied all of the sages die while in the temple

but the best part of Ruto and the water temple is that you see her, she says I'll lead the way, follow me! and then she swims upwards, you follow her, and then shes gone


she somehow got lost and f***ing died during that 5 seconds

Disagree, I love that there's a purpose to collecting rupees in WW. makes it actually seem fun

whereas the action of collecting money in almost every Zelda game is boring otherwise, the only Zelda games where it really feels like it matters are Zelda 1 and WW and Zelda 1 doesn't even have chests full of them, it just has generous moblins

BotW gives you things to splurge on, but it also has one optional thing kept behind a very high paywall.

I did the water temple. I always forget why its hard, then I do it, and I'm like, yea, its tough, but I never remember WHY it was hard.

The Water Temple was hard for me because in the cutscene where it shows the water levels changing I didn't notice the floating block that moved with the water. I just assumed there still wasn't a block where I knew I needed it and I never bothered to check that spot again. Then I got Rogue Squadron and decided OoT could get f***ed and I didn't come back to it for like 6 months.

I never liked this game.

THEN you play a bug catching game with them and earn ANOTHER that way


There was a random grave with a heart piece where you're supposed to play Sun's Song to reveal


to the LEFT of the Gerudo Bridge, theres a cliff that has a box, with the HP in it (as opposed to the waterfall one, which is to the RIGHT of the bridge)

aaaand theres a chest on the roof of the Gerudo Stronghold that I missed

Despite me beating OoT literally dozens of times, I've never owned it (Until I bought a Gamecube that came with the LoZ Collector's Edition, which was on purpose)

yet at the same time, me and my little bro both saved up to buy Majora's Mask on the n64 and I've only beaten it like, 4 times (and maybe once on the LOZ CE)

and each time I actually had a guide, so I never discovered all of the game on my own.

So my playthrough is gonna be interesting once I'm done with OoT, since I don't intend to use a guide, I'm gonna miss so much stuff

we'll see how much I remember there compared to this game

hey, I still own the MM guide. Brady Games

this was a damn good guide, all of the fairy guides were displayed as it walks you through the dungeon in real time

it was so convenient!

IIRC other guides had the fairy guides in another section, you had to keep flipping back and forth

it also came with a boss ass poster.

My little bro put the guide near a thawing turkey one time and it got all wet. So its in pretty bad shape, but yea, still got it
