Ehhhhhh

It has the actual MONSTARS but it's about creating social links with people and more personal feelings of depression, freedom or lack thereof and etc. On the other hand SMT is more about the bigger picture and exploring the issues with extreme religion, chaos and the inbetween.

Persona games are awesome.

And yeah, they're a spinoff of SMT. The battle system is similar enough, but Persona has a social sim aspect to it. You go to school, get jobs, and fuck around during the day, but at night, you go into dungeons and kill demons.

I want to get into SMT. Not too interested in Persona, but I may try that eventually as well. Definitely want to play SMT, though.

I was interested in the persona games a long time ago back in the PS2 era, when Persona 3 FES was still new-ish, I just never got around to getting into the series lol

The whole waifu thing and weird obsession kept me away until I actually stumbled across some gameplay. Then I was like oh this looks pretty cool. Will def try it now.

This Persona looks like the most stylish one to date. So if you're planning on getting into it, now's the time. I love SMT 3 (still need to finish it, like every other goddamn game) and I'm ready to move on to 4 and Apocalypse after. 4 was apparently sort of meh, but people love Apocalypse. I like the whole reshaping the world thing that they do. All of the reasons have their appeal (I usually tends to go Order/Law just for the aesthetics of the demons but if there's a hard or true ending, I go for that one). I think Neutral is the hardest on SMT4, which kinda sucks.

Strange Journey on ds is a better 4 than the actual smt4.

Eh, it depends. If they have a True Demon route like SMT3, I consider that the true route instead of neutral. But SMT4 doesn't have anything like that. At least apocalypse throws Anarchy into the mix.

But yeah, neutral is definitely the hardest out of the normal three - law, neutral, and chaos - because you have to strike a balance instead of being totally on one side or the other. It just usually makes for a more boring story, though, IMO. But I'll have to wait until I play 4 to make sure.
