Forget income levels, how about those of us that don't work all year round? We just come in during certain times of the year, do our work, and then either struggle financially or enjoy the rest of the time. Where are my teachers/professors, other school employees, tax professionals, seasonal retail people, and other seasonal employees?

As a school district employee, I am saving my money for the summer and I look forward to being able to take some trips without using a single hour of my vacation time. It was also nice to sleep in for a week during Thanksgiving and winter breaks, though it's unfortunate that I don't get spring break off. Can't have everything, I guess.

I belong here. I work concessions at a baseball stadium, so between April and September, I'm working a bunch, and every other month has one shift on average for events.

It's worked well for me so far, as with school being between September and April, I get to work and relax in the summer, while focusing on school during the fall/winter.

I'll likely always be a seasonal employee, as I start Teacher's College in September, and hopefully in a couple of years I'll be teaching high school.

"Hopefully" is the key word here, because there are no teacher jobs where I live right now.

That's really awesome and something so many people want. Work and school so separated like that. And I once had a job where I worked like 10 hours during school and 35 during breaks. That was cool but what you have is even better. Best of luck with becoming a teacher, live that nice seasonal work life!
