i think Papercut as an opening track is great. it's probably one of the more cringier ones on here but it's great at letting you know what you're in for. there's some mild resistance and wariness along with slight intrigue by the end of it and then it just goes straight into the more aggressive one step closer. and it's like "okay i can get into this." by the time points of authority comes around i'm totally into it. in the end is obviously the climax in more ways than one. and then we just float down from there.

God, Meteora is such an amazing album. I always forget how each song blends into the other.
