if you wanna ruin them in sports, sneezing is totally better because it's got a longer effect and, in the right moment, can really disorient them.

goalie needs to protect the goal? sneeze as the other guy shoots.
make every quarterback fumble.

it's also stealthier. like if a guy is charging up a basketball court and randomly starts clapping, wtf? but if he sneezes, well okay. for politics, people will begin questioning a person's health if they sneeze a lot. they'll question the mental health if they clap a lot though, yes.

Eh, you can stifle a sneeze if you really need to concentrate and you can still do something. If your hands literally come together the instant before you're trying to catch something, you're not catching it.
