The protagonist of the game is a US Marine named William Asskicker and he fights through an army of samurai, yakuza, and robots to rescue the First Lady of the United States who had been kidnapped by evil japanese businessmen so they could clone her panties. He turns your propensity for killing strikes against you, making it a weakness, by simply focusing his attention on defending his most lethal spots and knowing you are unable to launch strikes which would not be lethal.

You are Edward Calente IV, an Inheritor from the Castlevania New World anime series. Inheritors are humans who possess special bloodlines which makes them uniquely suited to battle monsters and other supernatural threats. You are sometimes known as Lord Edward, The Curator.



The Calente Bloodline gives Edward the power to turn on his Yellow Eyes. They allow him to perceive time at a slowed down rate, which gives the illusion that he can move and react quickly to events around him. Lord Edward joined the hunt when his cousin, heir to the Calente Castle, was slain by a Trogolodyte. His weapons are a silver cross which burns unholy enemies that it touches, as well as throwing knives. He likes to collect trophies from the hunts that he conducts and store them at the Calente Castle. Lord Edward appears to be studying the physiology if monsters, but if this subplot was ever supposed to go somewhere it never gets to that place.

You are Border Guardian, a Demon who protects the Red Bridge. The Red Bridge is the only way to travel between the land of Humans and the land of Demons. Your fighting skills are rumored to be legendary but you never use them. Instead, you protect the bridge by annoying people with riddles and refusing to allow them to pass unless they pay the "bread toll." Whatever that is.



You can be easily won over by offering sweets or candy. Getting into the Land of Demons is actually not that hard, but why the hell would any human want to go there anyway? Actually, you might have accidentally let that suspicious looking guy with the mask and the dark cloak in. And when the Heroes came to talk to you about it they might have seemed frustrated for some reason. Oh well.

Sometimes you pretend to be annoyed or frustrated for the sake of comedy, but no one alive today has ever seen you get truly mad. Seven thousand years ago there was an incident where a Kodama stole your lunch. You became so angry that when you stomped the ground it created the Deep Crater, where the humans would later build the Kingdom of Stone. History books say that nobody knows where the Deep Crater came from, but you know. Oh, and so does the Kodama. Well... he's at the bottom of that crater now... and he's not very much alive. So probably you're the only one who knows.

Maybe that is true. But you don't feel very evil. You just feel like a creature without purpose.



The only person who trusts you is Friiya, and so you decide to become her ally. The world is changing, Dark Jeff. And somehow you still feel exactly the same. You are truly the shadow of a Hero in a world without anymore Heroes.

You have become Sequencer from The Looming City. Your series of origin is a violent and psychological anime thriller which is also renowned for having high tier animation and action scenes. Miya Rio was originally a helpless person in a bleak world. Unlike the others around her, Miya had the determination to change herself and become a better person. In the end she makes a bargain which perhaps does more harm than good.



At the Emporium of Grand Eternal Lights there are cutting edge cryogenic and cybernetic scientists who experiment on Rio. She is put into stasis and awakens sixty years later. Things have drastically changed. The world which was falling into disrepair has now completely collapsed. Even the Emporium is a sunken ruin by the time she arises from her cryo-coffin. Rio herself had changed into a cyborg known as Sequencer. Her limbs were removed and replaced with robotic enhancements. While those seem to be a boon they are only metal. And metal can be stripped away.

Sequencer is forced to make sense of a world in which she is completely alone and out of place, and where every person and every thing she encounters is completely unfamiliar. She must make peace with her body which is both better and yet somehow worse than the one she had before. And, stuck in this bleak future which she chose for herself, based on her own foolhardy determination, she must reconcile with the fact that she cannot take her choices back. She must absolutely continue to live with the way things are now.

After the final battle against KIR-00, Sequencer is left with a harrowing realization. There is no one alive anymore who can repair her. Her body, badly damaged in the fight, will forever remain crippled. The ending is left ambiguous but it seems very likely she would die from blood loss. Even if she survived her limbs had become basically unusable. It's very much not a happy ending.

You are Rusk, the menu character of a mobile game which roughly translates to Rotate Sphere Happy! Each day you receive tokens which can be used to open capsules. The capsules contain mascot characters which can be collected and traded with others.



In addition to being the main menu character, Rusk is also a collectable mascot. A patch was added to the most recent version of the game which added mini games and competing with other players. However, by that point, most people had moved on. The game sees very little activity now.

Hi Maria

You are Ryoko Hirogawa from an urban fantasy series where college aged young adults are forced to stop a terrorist attack on Japanese soil using magical powers granted to them by extradimensional devils. Ryoko is a ronin, an aimless and wandering youth who was not accepted into any of the universities that she applied to. In the meantime Ryoko began working at a job that she got because of her Aunt knowing the business owner. She says that in sixth months or a year she will apply again, but as time passes she isn't so sure. Maybe just working to live is fine.



The origin of the terrorists is not made entirely clear but they seem to have found something "underground" and made "a contract" with powers that are beyond human comprehension. It's very likely that without outside interference there would have been no chance to stop them. However there are beings that have watched the Earth for some time and found human beings to be interesting. In order to have fun they decided to grant powers to some Japanese college kids and see if they could use those powers to fight back against the enemy magic.

Heroism is a beautiful fantasy on the written page but Hirogawa and the others learn just how bloody conflict can really be. In the end Ryoko is left wondering if she can ever again return to human society after the things she has seen. The answer is "probably not." How can a person return to work or return to school when they know their entire species are the mere playthings of Devils?

You are Darkness Cat, the lovable nickname for a cat who is met in the Darkness Zone of a certain indie RPG. This area is where fungae are known to grow and the evil Myconid stalks the player in order to cause them grief. It's possible to be inflicted with the Spore status by many enemies in this area and it causes a mushroom to grow on the player's head.



If the player searches one of the caves about 1/3 of the way through the level they will meet Darkness Cat who is hiding inside of here. There are already many spores growing on his head and if spoken to he has this to say: "I think I need a haircut."

People were moved by the emotional tale of Darkness Cat, and there's a decent amount of fan art of him on various websites.

You are SIR DENT, a bit character from Draigon Quest, a Russian-made indie RPG which was written entirely in English by some people who perhaps did not know English as their first language. Ultimately, they thought the entire thing was funny and the project itself seems to be a bit of a joke by a few bored college students. Humor is the universal language. SIR DENT is a Knight who appears outside of the castle at the start of the game, but forgot to wear his armor... or his clothes.

"FIRST DAY OF WORK. I FORGET TO PUT ON CLOTHES. THE KING SEES MY BOXER SHORTS. THIS MUST BE NIGHTMARE. PLEASE, HERO, WAKE ME UP."

The Hero can choose to punch SIR DENT, but it does not wake the man up.



DENT will later join the players party after they are sent on a request to retrieve the 'HEADACHE MEDICINE' from the NOT-SO-EVIL WITCH. By the way, as it turns out, the NOT-SO-EVIL WITCH was actually sort of evil. She ends up fighting the heroes, but you do retrieve the HEADACHE MEDICINE and it works to cure the Queen's ailments. SIR DENT was originally only sent along because he was considered to be a useless knight, and thus expendable. But he does prove his mettle here.

At this juncture The Hero realizes that the fate of the world, or at least his prized 'SAVED BY THE BELL DVD COLLECTION' is at stake and must recruit allies in order to help him on his quest. DENT, who felt "smighted" by the actions of the King and Queen, chooses to accompany The Hero at this time. People assume that DENT was supposed to say "slighted" there, but he does say "smighted" in the official text.

It turns out that SIR DENT is quite popular with the ladies if you speak to the NPC Villagers in the town of HOMEPLACE. In addition to his good looks, the fact that he showed up for his first day of work in his boxer shorts seemed to have impressed a lot of people. If you enter the INN, DENT will always leave the party and wait outside. This actually makes sense if you speak to the people there -- he has been kicked out for not paying his tab and additionally seems to owe the guy in the corner some money over a bet. Ultimately SIR DENT is probably one of the two most beloved characters among a cast of a cult classic RPG that is known by few but loved by almost all who played it.
