yeah, looked into this a bit myself.
Terra basically doubles as healer. in addition to getting araise (full life) one of her move transforms her into trance mode, allowing her to dual cast black, green, and white magic while amping up her offensive abilities. she also gets a better-than-esuna skill and dispelga.

mind you, she does still hit like a truck, girl gets +20% MAG too and one of her attacks in trance is better than ultima. but trance terra is just stronger offense.

and i too hope to one day go full mage team.

...except she doesn't have the key spell to make her a good healer, Curaja.

if Global gives that to her in her kit, then she'd be a solid healer/support. Otherwise, she is great at power and support, but a mediocre healer.

I was thinking about improving Magi Release(No turn used, SPR, support skill added along the other new ones), adding Curaja, making Light of Hope magic instead of ability, and somehow f***ing fix her LB to be magic-based. Dammit. ;_;

I forgot to post my loadout for Gilgamesh.

Rain: DW, 20% MP materia, 15%HP materias. Mucle belts Soul crown, Reflect Mail. Rune Blade+Light of Hope.

Noctis: Chirijihaden. Green Beret Black Belt Gi, Hero Rings, The rest are HP% materia, and 10% atk.

Luka: Golden Staff, Green Beret, Sage's Robe, Jeweled Ring, Black Choker, Guardian's Authority, Demonic Life, HP15%, HP 10%.

Ling: Green Beret, Magi Robe, 2x Muscle belts. Speed Plus, Camouflage, HP 10% and 15%.

Cecil: Main Guache, Force Shield, Grand helm, Force Armor, Muscle Belt, Defender's Bracer, Demonic Life, Guardian's Authority, HP 15%. HP 10%.


Edit: Also, anyone interested in me switching to Gilgamesh after the event is over? I have enough TMs to make him add Blademaster on top of the DKS from FF2 event, Ruler's Rings, Genji Blade+Enhancer.

I saw that one, it looks pretty bad. At this point it's not even worth attempting Gilgamesh for me, going to have to wait until I get more TMRs that aren't dual wield.

Also, this makes me want a Noctis even more. Come on players choice banner!

In your case I would wait for WoL *6.

Maybe even a bit into Mysidia, the next island for Safety Bit.

Edit: Rain with 5.5k+ hp survives more. So that's another suggestion.

Well, you have to decide how you want to go about it

Do you want to burst him down, do you want to hunker down and tank the fight, do you want to redirect the attacks to a 100% evasion unit, etc.

Warning about the burst method: Do NOT trigger multiple scripted attacks.

Did some testing. Need to practice more since I could only deal less than 130k when he buffed himself up in one turn.

Then again I only used no gear on the Chizurus beyond kazekiri.

I used Phantom Shadow 2x, Seven's elemental debuff, Sparky Final Shot.

Then he was buffed on the next turn when I tried it again.

I just realized I have an 1100 Olive friend too. Maybe it's the same person!

Might actually give Gilgamesh a shot with that. Olive rolled over the boss in event ELT in one Limit, maybe she can do some heavy damage to Gilgamesh too.

Gave Gilgamesh a shot with 1100 Olive companion. Things went well.... Until the 80% threshold, when Bushido whatever wrecked everybody. Really shows how far away I am from getting a viable team!

XIV March on Ifrit Raid event! THIS time, you're using Raid Orbs to face Primal Ifrit instead of your own Stamina. I think it works the same as Arena Tokens. Max is 5.

Raid "Summons" featuring XIV with Y'shtola, Minfilia, and Thancred. Get them from the rewards for the Raid event
