Tom Bombadil 02/18/17 9:06:27 PM #1:	This is an ongoing wrestling sim of 1983 WWF, run in Total Extreme Wrestling 2013. (because 2016 wasn't out at the time!) We have had a prediction contest for most of the game, but that is (probably) slated to end after Wrestlemania II, which is about an in-game month away! The game has run at this point from 1/1/83 to 3/1/84. Here's a very brief recap of the biggest things to happen. (Soon, but maybe not tonight, there will also be info on our roster, teams, storylines, and other stuff a new reader should know) -WWF never exploded like it did in the real world- it's a major player but by no means the dominant force the real WWF was at this point. -In fact, we wound up joining the NWA! We're one of the biggest feds under that umbrella, but AWA still sits on top of the US wrestling scene. Georgia Championship Wrestling and Championship Wrestling from Florida are also big names. -We actually managed to buy out All Japan Pro Wrestling, bringing in several wrestlers as an nWo-type stable. It's led by a bunch of white dudes because popularity mechanics. -With it came the "NWA United National Title" which is sadly not a traveling title because this isn't TEW 2016. It is being used as a second world title, and frequently just called the NWA Title. -We have tons of tournaments and other special annual events, thanks in large part to prediction contests. -We have two TV shows: All-Star Wrestling is our A-show, and Wrestling Challenge the B-show. Tom Bombadil 02/19/17 12:31:42 AM #3:	I haven't simmed this mod very much (although one time I simmed it up to present day and only the jobber feds survived) but I think that's just kinda a limitation of TEW. That's why I always liked The Golden Age mod (starts just before Wrestlemania 3) a lot-- I've simmed it a lot and it ends up closer to accurate than you'd expect like 10 years later. It is a fine balance though-- you obviously want variation to exist otherwise it's like "well why play this it's exactly the same as it went in real life" but I do feel like if you're running a historic mod you do want certain things to click into place fairly reliably. But yeah I guess I was just wondering if WWF is at least poised to hit their stride soon if they make the right moves and you just failed to or if it's just not quite inherently strong enough to do it easily. (71) Lawler beats Owen, but not before a solid match. (63) Atlas and Afa jaw at each other a bit. (46) Steele and Garea prove their relevance to an extent with a win over Saito and Misawa. (49) Albano tries to hype the Samoans even though they aren't really doing anything these days. (55) Snuka and Bret put on a good match, with Snuka taking the win. (69) Future Perfect are incensed by DiBiase talking down to them, and won't sell out to anybody! (50) David Sammartino of all people is in our main event, teaming with Steamboat against Style and Substance. Faces get a big win, thanks mostly to Steamboat. (64) Overall: 65 NEWS -Charlie Fulton leaves via contract expiry. -Jimmy Valiant d. Ricky Morton for the AWA TV Title -NJPW feuds Hogan v. Fujinami -Verne Gagne and Jerry Jarrett no longer friends -UWA cuts Aguayo, Tiger Mask, three Villanos, some other folks -Rick Steiner teams with King Cobra as Ring Demons -One Man Gang on the rise -Animal claims to be carrying MACW -WCCW gets 86 (ME: Blanchard d.
