Man, I never bothered looking at RFA in the last few seasons because I didn't want to give up draft picks but I am actually super tempted this year looking at some of those.

And to break things down again using Bears OLB Tim Jamison as an example

4 / $7.08 mil / $1.20 mil is what he is asking

4 = length in years
$7.08 mil = total salary he is asking for
$1.20 mil = amount from said total he is asking as a signing bonus (guaranteed money)

Average annual cap hit = $7.08 mil / 4 = $1.77 mil
Annual bonus = $1.20 mil / 4 = $300k

The bolded numbers, which you can easily come up with for all the players mentioned, are the ones you really want to pay attention to as you form your own custom offers for interested players. As another reminder, all contracts have ascending cap hits, so the first year cap hit will always be lower than the average annual cap hit for whatever deal you end up offering with the one exception being a contract with no guaranteed money (all cap hits will be the same throughout the life of it).

I haven't decided whether or not to participate in this phase, so I will not open up any PMs until the deadline. You then need to make sure that you end up offering a contract that the player will agree to sign. As long as you don't lowball them, you should be fine.

Also, for those who have multiple picks in a given round, I think that you give up the worst pick that you own in that round (If you own the 10th and 15th pick, then you give up the 15th pick) should your offer not be matched.

You seem unsure, can you confirm this?

I did some testing, with the Steelers and Chiefs and in both instances, they gave up the worst pick that they owned in a round.

Ah, yes, the Bills were very embarrased to beat the Phins in Week 17 under back-up, untradable quarterback Brady Quinn thus making the Bills the only team unbeaten at home last year.

We're are also embarrassed to have dominated the Chiefs to start our home winning streak last season and to be picking 16 spots behind them in the upcoming draft.

Most of all we're embarrassed that KCF has flipped back to to spelling Greg Olsen's last name incorrectly. We'll also be very embarrassed when one of his 90+ OVR RFAs signs with the Bills... embarrassed with unstoppable talent that is. Hahahahaha!
