To be fair, I get a lot of my beer from Founder's Brewery in Grand Rapids, MI. If you don't have decent breweries, you won't get decent beer. It's very easy to dismiss it then. I hated beer before, too. Then my brother started getting me these really good specialty beers. Obviously, stuff like Busch Lite is still f***ing awful and this beer is so expensive I don't think I'll be buying a ton of it ($14 a bottle) but damn if it wasn't a really good beer.

I went to the Left Hand Brewery last week on my way to Yellowstone. It's one of my top three brewerys (in terms of how many good beers they have, and how much I love their beer), and my favorite brewery in the states, so that was pretty cool. I want to hit up Fuller's and Samuel Smith's sometime when I go to England. Those guys brew my favorite beer in the world. It'd also be really cool to travel across Germany stopping at all the monasteries, which are said to have the best beers in the world. That would be the f***ing best.

Every beer I've tried has tasted totally terrible, while I can name a number of hard drinks that actually taste really good. Straight rum, rum & coke (pretty much anything with rum, really), and white russians just to get the obvious out of the way.

you should try to get your hands on Shipyard's Pumpkinhead, it's like those but better.

also, Frangelic Mountain is pretty good.

Stella Artois is the beer people drink when they want people to think they like good beer.

Yuengling is great. One of the best values in beer, certainly.

Left Hand makes some tremendous brews.

Newcastle is a solid beer, but it is overrated, I think.

Arrogant Bastard is amazing both in name and quality.

this yuengling love baffles me. to me it tastes f***ing awful, worse than natty.

my favorite cheap beer is probably Old Style, and being 19 and entering my second year of college I only drink cheap beer.

My favorite beer ever is Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss, because it doesn't taste like beer at all.

sidenote: i've tried really dark beer and i don't like it. is it supposed to taste like coffee? i hate that too and I notice a strong resemblance.

Yuengling is a solid and clean lager. yeah it's annoying if you know people from Philly or Albany and they make a big deal about trying to order Yuengling in places where it isn't sold, but it's still nice quality stuff.

You enjoy a good beer with friends or with a meal.

Not to get drunk. That's what your vodka sprite, and cheap mixed college-esque drinks are for.

It's kind of like how you don't order a glass of Disaronno at a club.

The days of drinking cheap beer are long behind me (silly high school/college parties). At parties/pubs I'll opt for liquor or cocktails.

Beer is reserved for relaxing or topping off a good meal.
