You know, if you hit Robotnik a certain way, Tails can keep hitting him until he dies.

Jump another way, Tails hits first, and you fall to your death in Chemical Plant.

Tails is the worst.

Because I love him.

He, my roommate, his wife, and I have also raced like 30 Grand Prixs this week.

My roommate and I weren't first-second for every race in the Grand Prix maybe 3 times.

And he still had fun. The beauty of Mario Kart.

My nephew really loves Mario Kart 7. He even finished 7th in one race! Not that he cares. He just has a blast playing as Luigi and falling off cliffs.

He just figured out the level in SMG where you have to freeze a trail in the water and lead that beaked enemy along it to flip you up into the star.

My sister doesn't have a game system in her house, so I get all the fun of cultivating the best video game experience for my nephew. In addition to the games I've already mentioned, he gets to play a lot of Metroid Zero Mission, LBP2, and Mighty Switch Force.

He's going to have good taste, damnit.

A 4 year old can probably enjoy literally any game you throw at them (except for the really bad ones, since they CAN recognize that).

Maybe not on the same advanced, insightful, deep, philosophical level that we enjoy them at, but they will enjoy it. Definitely better than a typical CoD frat bro, too.
