Blitzball fan? Try Captain Tsubasa II (in English) for NES! Game reviews/articles by me: http://betweenlifeandgames.com
i can buy a console like a ps3 for 399 bucks and last me 4-6 years. I can buy a pc and have to continue to upgrade it for the best results and not get much for 600.

It's not anti pc, it's smart.
*plays Diablo III on maximum settings on his 4-year-old computer*
It's smart to know that you won't always be playing hardware-pushing games on your PC, as a matter of fact, most of the time you won't be.
Also, Steam sales. PC gaming is cheap.

PC gaming is much cheaper than consoles if anything, you're basically buying another computer to pay $60 for games while steam offers stupidly good discounts
Hadn't been there in a while. Before, it looked like they didn't actually discuss polls or gaming much, but I looked now and I was surprised. Maybe I'll start checking it more often.

Quite so, yeah.

The hell, are you implying that I'm a braindead backwater baboon?! That's unnecessarily mean.
Not at all. :)
But if you require some help regarding this case, perhaps you could elaborate. Otherwise, I don't know why you posted that.
Well, that'd be lovely.
The game is called Ougon Musou Kyoku. The game runs just fine and I can hear the sound and all, but the graphics just won't come up for some reason. I've checked and my laptop's graphic card is built-in so I can't upgrade it. I've tried upgrading the driver but it didn't change anything.
If you buy some non-gaming laptop it will probably have the absolute worst integrated graphics card ever, yeah.
Get a desktop and you can spend 500 dollars like I have and be able to play every game of the past 5 years without worrying about having to update anything.
I couldn't really answer this poll because I don't know what I spent the most money on. It could be Steam, PSN, or maybe 3DS. I bought a number of games on each (Despite the 3DS' store being stupid in multiple ways, it has a good enough library to make up for it.)

Why do you associate Steam's placement with "anti-PC" sentiment but also ignore the possibility of "anti-Xbox" sentiment for XBLA?
This poll's results prove remarkably little, actually.
The Wii is a dying platform. I'd expect a "how much money have you spent on boxed games" poll to still cause the Wii to lose. (Maybe lose less badly). If people aren't turning on the system, then of course they're not buying from the online store.
The other three platforms are basically tied......and probably SFFing each other, but it's anyone's guess on whom might be SFFing whom. Hard to draw any conclusions.
And sure, most people have bought something online...but there's a lot of games only available through online purchase. (Like megaman 9, to name one that showed up in a GF contest). It's still possible to have primarily boxed purchases while having at least one online transaction in the past year.

Cats land on their feet. Toast lands peanut butter side down. A cat with toast strapped to its back will hover above the ground in a state of quantum indecision
My netbook can't even run binding of isaac well. It's a terribly optimized flash game, but still. They're just not designed for any sort of processing power at all. They are comparable to smartphones with a bigger screen and keyboard.
You are reading too much into that. Just because they've spent the most on a particular service doesn't mean that they've 'embraced' digital distribution. If they've spent $5.00 for an Indy game, and nothing else, then they've spent the most money on that service.
2. ...done right (Steam, PSN, XBLA) and without charging money for 20-year-old roms (lol Nintendo)
If anything I think it goes to show that a lot of digital purchases ARE Indy games and the like. I'm not sure if Nintendo has any Indy games available. Most of their games are, as you've stated, re-releases.
3. Steam and PSN beating XBLA shows that people want to see a real price, not dumbass points
While I personally prefer real prices too, I don't think that it matters too much to most people. That XBOX Live is keeping up pretty well seems to suggest that it doesn't matter, rather than that it does.
4. Steam would be kicking even more ass if this wasn't such an anti-PC site
Anti-PC? People keep saying that, but I don't get it. PC gaming isn't the most popular type of gaming on the site, but I'm not sure how that makes the site Anti-PC.
42% of the site owns a gaming capable PC that plays most or every game 73% of the site owns a gaming capable PC, but not a more recent one
63-69% own a Wii (Depending on which poll you use) 60-63% own a PS3 (depending on which poll you use) 55-58% own a 360 (Depending on which poll you use)
Less popular sometimes is just less popular.

See You In Another Life, Brother. Cloud & Squall
Steam would be kicking ass if their deals weren't so good. I've bought more games on Steam over the past year, but surely haven't spent the most money there!
