It's been too long since I've played Chrono Cross to remember the specifics (and I really have no desire to play the game again just for the sake of finding out), but they both annoyed me whenever they were on screen. Kid just comes across as an obnoxious brat (Stop asking to join my party darn it I said no), and Harle's attitude just rubbed me the wrong way.

The difference is that those people are wrong.

Squall isn't constantly telling people they're going to kiss the moons and getting himself into all kinds of trouble because he's stupid and doesn't know it's a bad idea to rush straight into danger.

So yeah, Rinoa would be a better comparison for Kid than Squall.

Of course, Rinoa also has a certain amount of charm and cuteness that makes her more bearable than Kid.

Of course, I'm overgeneralizing myself. Kid is annoying for more reasons than that, but it doesn't help.

What kinds of trouble does Kid even get into? She pretty much spends all the time she's with you bailing you out, with the exception of the time she gets poisoned by Lynx.

See, it's easy to say you don't like a character, but it's basically wasted time. It's just a conversational dead-end. If you don't like her, say *why*. Makes for a much more interesting time spent discussing characters and their flaws.

Nah, Rinoa doesn't bother me much aside from the end of Disc 1.

Kid bothers me enough to want to leave her to die and not just so I can get Glenn.
