Decided to read two of the new series.

Koisome Momiji

Pretty bland. I liked the conversation with his friends, but everything regarding the heroine felt contrived as per the usual of WSJ rom-coms. Pretty damn sick of this type of lead too.
Made me wonder if a serious romance story could ever be done in this magazine.

Sensei no Bulge

Suprised how much I liked it. Digging the style and the pacing of humor and premise. I wonder how far it can keep it up, as it felt kind of like a movie plot, though.

Now, I'm only caught up with the anime so I can't really have a legit opinion on this, but why would he want to end it now? I hope not.

But yeah, Reborn and Bleach are in their last arcs (though Bleach is taking some years with that). Naruto may not be in its last arc, but it's close to ending as well.

Not counting the new series that are kinda hard to make a judgement call on, I think One Piece, Toriko, Gintima, Sket Dance, Beelzebub, Haikyuu and Hiatus x Hiatus are the series that are still there in 5 years.

Not sure about Haikyuu's staying power. Alright first chapter, but I'm skeptical about volleyball being interesting for that long.

Nothing has been confirmed about Reborn, but after checking various forums, it seems like many fans are expecting it to be in its last arc.

I was doubting Haikyuu myself, but it has been doing really well so far so I think it can stay for at least a bit more than 5 years

Haikyuu is still too recent to make any calls on how long it will last. I can see why people might think Reborn is ending since Tsuna is seeming pretty boss-like right now. He can always easily revert back to not wanting to do anything though to extend the series >_>

I don't think it usually ranks too high in popularity recently, but it still does pretty well and sells better than Nurarihyon too I think. It'll likely get a natural ending whenever it decides to end.

I've only read 5 chapters, but this author is demonstrating he has the potential to create something that could be part of the Big Three of the future.

Yes the unfortunately named one.

Reminds me of a Kodansha series for some reason. A mix of whimsical fantasy style with unusual amount of violence and darkness for a WSJ series.
