The FT anime also does a good job of drumming up hype for an otherwise average plot because of some good animation (at least at first) and some great music.

The art style in some of the ones I've looked at are just so vastly different from the ones of today. Also, I have seen Yu Yu Hakusho. I enjoyed it quite a bit, especially up through the tournament arc. Even in print form, feel free to suggest anything you liked. I'm more bored than normal between semesters

Kenshin, Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) are all old classics.

Eh I'm not sure that it's particularly better or worse than today, it's just more difficult to get into. Similar to the way that HxH's art style changed completely after the hiatus. It felt kinda wrong. I may give Saint Seiya another try as I've heard good things, but have never read it. The other 3 I've read or seen already. Thanks
