Liked the larger pool and thought things went well overall.

One of the best for me no question. 4 of my Top 10 priorities from the start of the contest.

CRY (Specifically Ramza)

Ramza going out so early

Yes. A good character who is very popular.

Yes. He's a great character from what I have seen and heard.

Yeah, crisis core is really fun - only downfall are some of the plot decisions, and the missions can become incredibly repetitive.

In terms of character etc, fairly good for me. Got rid of a few characters I dont like in the boot rounds, Aeris had a decent run and my other characters generally did ok. Also, I generally dont bother with trading (usually just the odd time) so doing that this round paid off and was kinda fun.
In general, to much drama tho half of it I didnt pay attention to and/or missed, and I didnt like the big gaps but i guess FFD had his reasons.

2. How did this year's Top Ten compare to others for you?

Well none of my top characters made the Top 10 but I did have 4 in my 'second-tier' there so i guess I cant complain too much though. Shame Aeris didnt get the Top Ten spot that has eluded her thus far.

3. Which character are you hoping to make a run next contest?

Aeris of course

4. What was the biggest upset in this contest?

Although Aeris did well, her going out when she did was a bit of a shock as she looked quite strong for while before her boot, just a bad start time for her the round she went out. Also, losing Wakka (again) and Red XIII getting a bad result were bummers for me.
Also, Hope, Seymour, Rinoa, Ashe all got faaaar too far for my liking (acutally escaping the boots was too far for them all IMO). Also, The stupid anti-Terra thing was very disappointing.

5. Does Zack deserve to be champion? Why?

Yes. Solid character, and although involved in some trading, I dont think he was overly traded for and pick up some voters later as the numbers dwindled.

6. Does Squall deserve to be runner-up? Why?

Meh, not bothered about Squall one way or another. He's far too far down my like-list for me to be wanting him in the upper end of the contest, but there could be worst characters there.

7. What number would you like to see the field at next year? (75/80/85/90/95/100)

Id say 85 or 90 personally and back to the 10 boots.

8. With the floodgates open next year, which newcomers and returners would you like to see?

I want Tseng and Firion to finally have a chance in this, and Maria to return.

Not particularly. I did lose interest following the big gap eriod around the Top 20 or so. So a repeat performance of that should be avoided if you ask me, but like I said above Im guessing FFD had his reasons.

She pretty much saved her game from being a diabetic sugarfest tbqh. No, I don't like how the game tried to throw her into the plot through flashbacks and junk but she was necessary to balance out those other two... yikes.

Yeah, Paine was a necessity in FFX-2 because Yuna and Rikku alone literally wouldn't have gotten anything done.

Heck, without Paine, Buddy probably becomes the main character of the game because Yuna and Rikku would be too busy saying "Poopie" and "Disasteriffic" while Brother fantasizes about Yuna and Shinra's all like "I'm just a kid."

Paine isn't that bad. I don't agree that she helps that much for diabetes but she's not that bad. More tolerable than Yuna and Rikku in that game at least.

Well, Square clearly wanted Yuna to be more "bubbly" in FFX-2 to show...something, so they were going to put in a third "straight man" in there one way or the other. If it hadn't been Paine, it would've been someone else.

And they made Lulu pregnant to make sure she wasn't that someone else.
