The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony
A classic. The whole Rolling Stones lawsuit shebang around it was really lame, especially considering if I recall correctly Richards literally said that the song was a ripoff. It's a really original, catchy pop song. I like The Verve's more shoegazy side too. Great live, too.

Hot Chip - Over and Over
I don't like Hot Chip too much. This song didn't change my mind, but it was not bad either. I could dance to it. The synth is nice. I like the little organ thingy that comes in in the right channel near the end too.

This is pretty relaxing background music. It's all it is but that's cool. Could easily fit into a videogame, which it may very well spawn from considering this IS gamefaqs. I got sick of it after 3 minutes though. Don't worry young sir, I did listen to it in full. But yeah I tuned out after 3 minutes.

This is again very VGMish. I like Celtic music if it's like, very celtic sounding violin or whatever over some folky stuff but this is kinda.. I dunno. I'll say LotR music. Which isn't bad in itself, very upbeat and stuff but not something I'd wanna listen to if I don't have something to attach it to. I like the african touch with the vocals. The last minutes were better than the first. The violin solo with the guitar backing it was cool stuff. Peace out, yo.

The first 10 seconds made me want to go it in a completely different direction. The vocals are very plain because well every emoish kind of band has this guy singing. This was too dramatic for me to really enjoy. It's not bad though so props for not making my ears bleed at least!

Hiroki Kikuta - Never Ending Night
Once again too dramatic for me to really enjoy. And this woman's voice is exactly as plain. Can't have everything I guess! I like symphonic music mind you, but this is pretty standard fare. At least it was again, pleasing for the ears.

Silverchair - Without you
This song was not bad. The vocals lean a bit too much to pop punk for me to fully enjoy it, but at least it sounds more genuine here. I like the heavy-ish guitars. If I recall correctly this is your favorite band. Well I'm sorry that I didn't completely love it but at least I didn't hate it so YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. ps the chorus is pretty good. It's borderline 'it's all good' but I'm just gonna put it on top of 'this song is okay' I think.


Tool - Eulogy
According to the internet this band is love or hate. But the internet has always been bipolar, I'm just gonna go with 'this band is okay'. Damn you this is a long song. EXPECT PAYBACK. They're a bit too YEAH IM GONNA HEADBANG TO THIS for me. Don't get me wrong I love certain bands like that but that's mostly either nostalgic value or because the songwriting is tight anyway. I'm a more subtle man when it comes to guitar. It was a good song nonetheless and definitely more daring than any of the million bands that wanna sound like this. Dat bass. My main gripe with Tool and bands like it (dare I say nu-metal) are mostly the lyrics. corny. Good song overall.

KMFDM - Megalomaniac
This is a song I would dance to. That is all it is for me. I don't really think guitars mix well with electronic music most of the time, not distorted and used like they would in a rock song anyway. Too metallic.

The Limousines - Internet Killed The Video Star
Quirky homage. It's good for what it is. Catchy, and STUFF. I'm all over the indie synth pop though so at the moment it really doesn't appeal too much to me.

I thought this song was pretty average. I have no problem with mellow rock or whatever this is called but it seemed to me like someone took a rock song and ran it through some mellowing filter just for the sake of taming it.

I didn't particularly mind any of it but it just sounded kind of bland. 5.5/10.

Flying Lotus - Computer Face//Pure Being: 5.4/10

I could see this in a battle against some whacked-up machine (See: SHODAN), but I don't really like it. Granted, I don't hate it, either. I just find it highly cluttered and sometimes, it sounds plain wierd. It also lacks lacks a clear direction, but the instruments make it sort of catchy. At least it's in good length; not too much at around 2 minutes, 30 seconds.

I liked the lead vocals, pretty chill sounding just to listen to without paying too much attention. Basically just a good song to have on in the background to fill up the silence. But some of the instrumentation got annoying. There's on repeating noise in particular that just stands out and not in a good way.

Haha I was testing with General Fiasco to see if you liked those vocals! I personally think they have a bit more color than the average 'whiny' type of voice so I like them.
