1-1 was ridiculously hard. 2-1 had me laughing at how impossible the boss was, but so far I am really enjoying 3-1. Haven't got to the boss yet so it probably is ridiculous but I am thoroughly enjoying this game so far. I get super stressed when I am on my way to recover my souls that I had lost, but its good stress.
Its been ridiculously hard, not in a what the frick how did I die way, but rather a; "Oh crap. I screwed up and so i died" way.
I recommend it so far.

I dunno, Man Eaters were pretty annoying, Flamelurker as well. 4-4 boss is another hard one. Though all 3 of those guys you can exploit pretty easy tactics to kill them.
Nah, they're pretty much all easy no exception, I've died a ton in these games but I never ever died against a boss, not a single time.
Levels are hard, bosses around.
I mean hell I did Dark Souls as a level 1 Pyromancer without ever changing my equipment. The problem's just that their attack patterns are too predictable.
Like the Spider in Demon Soul, it was always the same thing, run in zigzag towards her and roll to dodge her web/fire, when close just block until she uses that attack that leaves her stunned, whack a ton on her, sprint back to dodge her inferno attack. Rinse and repeat. Always the same thing the whole fight, the Tower Giant is just about running in circles around him, there's almost no risk. Queelag in Dark Souls is just about running everywhere until she does that long fire spewing attack that leaves her open for at least 3-4 light hits, etc.
5-1 was the worst boss in the game, 5-2 sucks as well(it's ok I guess), and yeah, 5-3 has an excellent boss. Sucks that World 5 is bar none the worst area ever in the Souls series(Yes, worse than Blighttown). Hell, Blighttown isn't even that bad, just the framerate drops got really annoying.
Oh man 5-1 is hilarious, I remember being summoned for this boss with my lava bow, I would just kill it in 5 seconds the people I helped never got the time to touch it.
Note sure if I like world 1 the most, or world 4. Both great areas. World 4 is the greatest Soul farming ever, plus you can get revenge on Vanguard.
I really like the Castle setting of Boletaria in world 1. Overall I'd say that Demon's had better area's than Dark, Dark really doesn't have a world that really sticks out like 1 and 4. I mean my favorite area in Dark was probably Undead Asylum, the tutorial level...Painted world was pretty cool too.
Yeah in Dark Souls after a certain point, the bosses were pretty easy. I think the hardest boss was the Capra Demon, and everything before was pretty damn hard, but beyond that everything was pretty simple. Maybe I was overleved/overgeared or something. Max stamina + havel's set was pretty OP.
Dark Souls' final boss was at a perfect level of difficulty, though. Took several tries to figure out all his attacks, and even after that, you had to have good reactions to beat him.
Maneaters is the only one I remember having legitimate trouble with, and they aren't hard they're just annoying because no matter what your stats, equipment, etc. are they can just knock you off the edge for an instant kill if you're not careful
I dunno, first time through Dark Souls was definitely hard. Ornstein and Smough knocked me around a ton, Nito killed me a lot (damn skeletons), and early game ones were definitely hard.
Maneaters in Demons Souls were just annoying.
