The clone of Daniel Bryan comes out and says Punk was always playing second fiddle to Daniel Bryan, and now Daniel Bryan's clone will be the new WWE Champion. CM Punk suddenly comes out. He starts going on angrily about how was in the WWE way before Daniel Bryan. He says he was already a five time World Champion in the WWE before Daniel Bryan won his first World Championship. He says if not for him, Daniel Bryan wouldn't even exist.
Punk's tone suddenly shifts and he gets right in the face of Daniel Bryan's clone. "You're not even Daniel Bryan, though. You're the product of man's greed! You're a reminder that jackasses like Kevin Dunn are so insecure about their pathetic little lives, that they have to try and play God! They have to try and hold other people back, and when that fails, they go to disgusting lengths to prove how powerful they supposedly are! The fact is, I'm better than you! I'm better than you, I'm better than him, and I'm better than any other wrestler that a****** decides he wants to clone! He thinks he can stop me from getting my time by creating another John Cena?! He thinks what this company needs is another "Dwayne?!" It's my time, now! And I'm not going to be held back by some jealous tool! I will defeat you, clone, and the whole world's going to see that I am the future of this company! And Vince's lackeys in his ear are finally going to have to admit it!"
I can only support this if we later establish that the clone is actually the real Daniel Bryan, and the man who we thought was Daniel Bryan is a clone created by Ring of Honor in 2005.

Nah, Superstars classic version was all about squash matches and midcard stuff rather than showcasing developmental talent.

You people have it all wrong. Daniel Bryan is not a clone, he is an extracted version of the real thing. Go back to the end of nxt, remember him citing the return of Bryan Danielson? He did actually come back. Danielson was in that ring before wwe realized the major differences between the two, despite Stryker's best attempts to warn them. It became realized after tiemaggedon and wwe put together a plan to remove Daniel Bryan from Bryan Danielson. It was impossible to do it completely and they didn't want a clean version anyway as he wasn't good enough. Instead of doing what they did to Foley, new technologies have been made to allow a full superstar out of the larger shell. That is Daniel Bryan. What they didn't anticipate however is that he'd remember Punk so well. Punk got the okay to rock the boat, but now they it's too late, heis trying to access data he does not have. He will instead try to recreate it, but the needed systems aren't there. He can't wrestle, let alone beat, Punk as he is at even a third of Danielson capabilities. The only reason he got to where he is lies behind the reason he is there: raw talent could not be removed.
As for where Danielson is, few know. He was taken for medical testing and as an emergency precaution should the experiment fail. He too however is remembering. It won't be long until they meet.

I believe it. Considering the WWE has less than a third of the roster WCW had when they first went three hours permanently, I can only see MUCH longer promos, more filler, and more video packages being thrown in to fill time, instead of say, development for guys that need it, or longer wrestling matches.

I've been fortunate that the friends I talk to about it know that I know it's fake, or have such a low knowledge that they had to genuinely double-check with me that it was when I brought it up in conversation.
I get a call from Gregory Dark, the director. He says, "We've got a little problem here." This call is from Australia. I said, "What's the problem?" He goes, "Vince has a suggestion about the movie." I said, "Well, it's his movie." He goes, "Vince wants this scene in the movie where Kane's character pulls out his p****, and he wants it to be three feet long." I thought there was a connection problem, I said "Greg, can you just back up and repeat that last line for me?" He goes, "Yes, Vince wants Kane's p**** to be three feet long, and none of the producers are saying anything about it." So I sat there, I go, "Oh, this is not good. This is not good. This is really not good." In the right movie, that's genius, that's absolutely brilliant, but not for this movie.
When the script was finally okayed, they brought someone else in to rewrite me. As a writer, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up; it's an ego thing to be honest. So, they brought in someone to touch up my stuff. I read their version of my script, and I'll be honest, it wasn't good. Every cliché that I purposely wanted to take out, they had put back in.
