Okay? English has things that don't sound the same either, and inconsistent pronunciations all over the place. Ease and lease sound nothing alike, despite looking alike. English is widely regarded as the worst language for obtuse pronunciations and such and this is why it's so difficult for non native speakers. For instance we're supposed to put is before es, except after cs, but then you randomly have crap like neighborhood and weigh and so many exceptions that it's not even a good rule. You were just whining about how hard it is to pronounce crap in English with Tidus and how it was unintuitive-- are you ADD or something?

I'm just saying the fact that there are words, and rules that work sometimes for pronunciation, and letters that form words that look similar to other words that are spelt similarly. After all this isn't a spelling bee-- you just need to be able to recognize that Yuffie and Yufey look similar as words-- that's all.

Does that mean there aren't exceptions? Of course not. But yeah, trying to act like your language is some sorta indecipherable mess is just hyperbole, because just by listening to it and looking at subtitles for it in your language I can tell that's not the case. (this is totally what I did, by the way, not wikipedia)

Well I was half trolling. She's well entitled to be offended if it was offensive to her because I meant most of what I said. I just would've shown a bit more tact in general and not harped on stupid things like pattern recognition normally if I was trying to really you know, resolve the issue or whatever.

But I mean she's totally being either a troll or overly sensitive about what should be no big deal (seriously just hard memorize a few names if it's so hard god) so I felt it was warranted in either case!
