I have argued with Vlado a lot but let's just call a spade a spade: A lot of board 8 is stupid. (Note: Law of averages here) Stupid people don't like being called stupid. Even when me and Vlado get into arguments I cannot once recall him taking shots at me. Why? Because he respects me. If he doesn't respect you, then he is going to be mocking of you. It isn't the worst thing a person can do and he isn't even the one who does it the most annoyingly, but it is kind of his thing and since the powers that be have judged Vlado "safe" to make fun of without popular reprisal he gets everyone's shots. Now mind you I think Vlado deserves a few knocks on the head at times, same as everyone, but it gets pretty epic how everyone piles on him when he doesn't really do much that's wrong, just different. ... In a different context, I could speak to the same person completely friendly and the fact I perceived them as a blind Nintendo fan would not matter one bit if they wanted computer help or something. at one point this was a community fueled by e-pop, and there was some dumb stuff that came out of that these days, I don't think so. we're like a bunch of fragments. there's lots of discussion topics. fighting game, anime, mass effect, etc. there's a lot of people I just don't interact with much anymore. if people still take issue with vlado, I doubt it's because of any social trends and is more likely a result of personal experience they've had with him. -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npHDxSvwCE0 ...
