I think B8 is quite different, at least now

at one point this was a community fueled by e-pop, and there was some dumb stuff that came out of that

these days, I don't think so. we're like a bunch of fragments. there's lots of discussion topics. fighting game, anime, mass effect, etc. there's a lot of people I just don't interact with much anymore. if people still take issue with vlado, I doubt it's because of any social trends and is more likely a result of personal experience they've had with him.

Sure, but that's the same for... anywhere and everywhere. Both online and in real life. We'll all have either negative or positive associations with people depending on our interactions. I like to think that B8 is more civil than most online communities, but at the same time we can't fight human nature. If we develop negative attributes to someone, it's hard to negate those feelings no matter what happens afterwards. That's why first impressions are so (unfortunately) important.

Yeah I see what you are saying. But I could also ask if you had to pick any color that pleased you the most or bothered you the least as it was on a blank sheet of paper with nothing but that color? Burnt orange, for me. But I like walls forest green, but I love blues as a background on my desktop.

hard question, and I'm not sure that a large solid block represents a favorite. like one website I visit changed their skin to all purple for april fools, it was physically abrasive to look at so I avoided the site for the day...but I like purple a lot, I'm actually sitting in front of a sheet of notes I've written tonight in colored pens and purple is the most used color...

I'm not sure how a person can exist without some sort of preference to a color.

I mean, colors are great. Some I prefer over others. Ultimately my favorite is either orange or silver. But I love blue and green as well. Red is also pretty cool. Purple isn't bad. Pink sucks.

Oh of course I also prefer black immensely over white, but neither of those are technically colors apparently.

I have preferences, I just have difficulty simplifying what those preferences are down to a single color, as I said, it's the interaction between colors and patterns that makes them meaningful...like music, if you walk to a piano and hit a single key, it doesn't evoke much emotion with no harmony, melody, or rhythm
