Insanity done and all achievements unlocked.

Time to take a break and try to finish something from my backlog before I start up ME1 for a full series playthrough. Might try to finish Uncharted 2, I started it like a week ago and haven't touched it since.

One really minor annoyance about ME3 for me is that you can't change the color of your Tech Armor. It's a small detail I would've loved to see. My Sentinel wears orange and red so the orange TA doesn't look bad, but it'd be cool if you could make it match your armor colors.

I'd be really interested to see Bioware use a Mass Effect formula (lots of choices, game changes depending on them, carries over to sequels) in a completely different universe and game world. Nothing to do with the actual Mass Effect series at all.

Technically that's the case with Dragon Age. Though there are some decisions that aren't reflected in DAII depending on certain choices you mayv'e made, to the fans chagrin.

But yeah, conversation wise, character, decisions etc, DA fits the bill there.

I quit on Dragon Age after about half an hour or an hour. Did the same with Oblivion. Guess I'm just more into sci-fi than LotR-style fantasy.

I'm not a fan of DA., but that has more with me tending to like to shooting combat compared to sword-medieval style combat. I also tend to compare most sword based combat to Demon's/Dark Souls, which is kind of unfair because nothing really compares(Witcher 2 comes somewhat close), and if it isn't up to snuff, the combat tends to bore me to tears.

You know some of that is cool except for the main character being the Catalyst and the "hurr evil synthetics" plotline

...

okay most of it is pretty bad except for Elcor and Hanar squadmates and Volus antagonist/squadmate, but that pretty much confirms it as fake because Bioware would never do something that awesome or silly

I want one of these for each class.

I'm trying to decide which class to use when I start ME1. I'm leaning Adept or Engineer, but Soldier is a possibility. And I'm playing on Hardcore since I never got around to it.

I'm considering trying to get the rest of the achievements in the game so I've got all the achievements in the series, but that'll take at least two more playthroughs. Stupid ally achievements.

After thinking about the game when I finished it again today, there's a couple of little things I've noticed that I don't like or wish had been done differently.

The biggest thing was Kal'Reegar dying offscreen. Lame. If he's gonna go out fighting I want to at least see it. I'd love a "Kal'Reegar's Last Stand" DLC that puts you in his shoes, defending the relay or whatever it was. Make his class and skill set a mixture of Soldier and Engineer since he's a quarian marine. It won't happen, but I can dream.

Everything else is minor and doesn't really detract from my enjoyment of the game. Even the Kal'Reegar thing isn't too big a deal, but the dude deserved better.

I don't like how we didn't get a single conversation with the reapers. Sovereign/Harbinger conversations from 1 and 2 were the best.

Uh we did get a conversation with a Reaper. A nameless one, but his voice was still damn awesome. And the Renegade action is badass.

I'll agree with your amended statement. I'm really pissed that Harbinger didn't even have any part in ME3 except for his shoehorned in appearance. After all the buildup with him in ME2 it was just expected that there would be a final confrontation with him in some meaningful way.

Heh, changing the subject to ME2 real quick, I'm on the exterior of the Shadow Broker's base right now. Don't know how I've ever missed this, but when an enemy is caught in Singularity and flies too high, he/she will get struck by lightning and soar off. Funny stuff.

Anything that knocks an enemy beyond a certain height cause the lightning to hit them.

I've hit a dude with Charge and watched him go soaring into it.

Even better is when then get caught in a Singularity, Warped, lit on fire by Incendiary Ammo, then hit by the lightning. Overkill.

Yeah I set one of them on fire with Incinerate before they went flying and got struck by lightning. It was pretty.

I'm not so sure you could do one of those for soldier though, sure there's concussive blast, but there's AdRush, Grenade, then all the ammo powers, that one strategy like with Vanguards and Infiltrators wouldn't be anything other than "shoot that guy."

Defense Matrix is a great bonus power for an Engineer. At least 15% damage reduction depending on how you build it, a 25% bonus to all tech damage when it's active, and the ability to purge it and restore 70-100% of your shields.

The delay it causes on cooldowns is less than a third of a second once you max it and get the 30% reduction of the slowdown. It's pretty amazing.

Warp Ammo would be good, too. Probably my second choice for an Engineer.

So true. ME3 lets you talk to a scrub Reaper for 10 seconds, how did they think that would satisfy us.

I believe it would. I can double check in a bit when my girlfriend goes on a mission.

As long as your weapons put your cooldowns at 200% then the cooldown reduction from DM is minor. It's a 60% reduction normally and you can drop it to 30% at the end of the skill tree.

Get the Paladin and Locust and dominate.

Defense Matrix does indeed give Sentry Turret and Combat Drone a damage boost. It actually boosts all of the Engineer's skills. Incinerate and Overload benefit from it the most, I'd say.

It also looks pretty cool, particularly with blue armor.

That has all the biotic and tech combos. I didn't realize you could detonate enemies that are on fire with biotics.

It's only abilities that actually electrocute, burn, or freeze the enemy. And the effect has to trigger. So for shock they actually have to do the stun animation and have the electricity crackling over them.

I don't think Sabotage can do the stun effect.

I've had so many glitches in the past with Shadow Broker. Liara would Stasis somebody right as I used Slam, and so they would fly away into the electricity and space, except they'd glitch out and not die since they'd be in stasis, and then I couldn't trigger the door to actually open to get inside. Ughhhh.

Just one of the reasons not to let squad members use powers on their own.

Just in the second game though, they're pretty good with their powers in the third game.

Alright so it just occurred to me, with the ending DLC, I do hope they just add to what they already gave us. And confirm that Shepard was indeed indoctrinated. It would be extremely silly if he hadn't been.

But like, I want to see all of the ships and armies we brought together do something. There shouldn't be just a simple kill switch for the Reapers. Have Shepard wake up somewhere in the Citadel, he gets up, looks around, sees that the war is still happening, and he slowly comes to realize that he was indoctrinated and possibly still is to an extent.

And just show us more space battles and the other characters we care about doing something and s***.
