James, well... I can't believe it, but he's completely grown on me. I sometimes wonder if he's actually even gay or if he's just messing around. I know he actually is, but the way he presents it isn't... annoying or right in your face. He's subtle about it. He may give Shepard a comment about his looks, but it's just an offhand comment that doesn't really mean anything unless you want it to.

And even so, most of the time he's just business.

It's just amazing to me that I hated this dude from the very beginning, and in my first playthrough. Now I'm just gonna give in and admit that he's actually pretty cool.

I of course went with Garrus and Tali my first playthrough because Garrus is the bro of all bros, and Tali is the love of my life. They're the best team.

Of course I didn't have Javik back then. I'm sure I'll bring him with me to Earth this playthrough even though it won't really matter much at all.

Damn... I know we've talked about it numerous times already, but that PTSD asari in the hospital... damn. I listened to most of her conversation line in my last playthrough, but I'm making sure to hear everything this time around. Naturally I find her the most interesting right now.

I'm not even to Tuchanka yet, but I've been stopping and listening to every conversation (so far) that pops up. Just so I can make sure I hear everything. What other NPC characters provide some interesting dialogue? I may have missed some.

It's not an out and out revelation, it just turns out that the girl she was with had the same name as Jokers sister and she was on Tiptree which is where Joker is from. Connect the coincidences and it starts to look like the girl and people she ended up killing were Jokers father and sister, and their friends. Can't say for certain that it is entirely true, but it damn well looks that way.

So got another Spectre pack (got crap), promoted my Human Adept, and now I got a Human Vanguard to work with. N7 Level 30 now (I suck).

On Insanity, I got to the N7 mission at the Cerberus Lab and then I stopped because I was getting tired.

Finally started to watch the 20 minute indoctrination video.

And people laugh when I say that Mass Effect has one of the best fanbases in gaming. TALI SWEAT CHEMISTRY SON, TALI SWEAT CHEMISTRY

No but seriously, that video is just incredibly well made, I was quite amazed. And it was a gamefaqs user too. Regardless, the indoctrination theory was already speculated within just a day or two of ME3's release. And I was like... yeah okay, I guess that's a possibility. There was evidence and stuff that hinted towards it, and the ending didn't make any sense at all anyway, so whatever.

But then that video. Oh man. It just pieced everything together so perfectly.

With all the evidence in the game, it's pretty much just impossible to deny that the ending was indeed indoctrination. Bioware will pretty much have to come out at some point (maybe with the ending DLC) and say for sure that it Shepard was indoctrination. I don't think they even have a choice now. Even if they didn't plan it, just makes too much damn sense for it not to be true.

I don't buy into the Indoc theory, mainly because I don't give Bioware that much credit, but it just seems like fans grasping at straws. I will say that if it forces Biowares hand and makes them say that it was indoc, I will laugh my ass off.

That video is nice and all, but some of the points it tries to make that everything is taking place in Shepard's mind are just as easily explained as oversight of details, something BioWare has done continuously throughout the series. It's an interesting theory that could work, but it just attempts to explain what happened during the 'ending,' which if this theory were true would mean the actual ending was planned as DLC from the start.

The Final Hours app mentioned that the ending of ME3 was meant to bring on a galactic dark age, where FTL travel is made basically impossible with the mass relays gone. None of the writer notes, or comments, mention anything about indoctrination either. There was a small bit in there about how BioWare wanted Shepard to fall under control of the Reapers, but they couldn't make it work so it was scrapped.

I do actually give bioware that much credit. Look at everything in the entire series besides the very ending. It's incredible. So much thought and just... everything.

Sure it really does seem like bioware was just f***ing stupid and dropped the ball. And that's quite possibly what happened. But that's really sad considering everything else they got right. If we're lucky, either one of two things will happen: They were always planning on this, to make a terrible ending so they could release ending DLC later on to make up for it and reveal the indoctrination; OR, they really were stupid and made this terrible ending but then realized that they "accidentally" set up for indoctrination (as pointed out by fans) and are making an ending DLC to rectify all the complaints as well as confirm that Shep was indeed indoctrination even if they didn't originally plan it.

I don't know if that made sense. My point is, I just hope that no matter what the case, whether it had been planned all along or by accident, they just go along with it and admit that Shepard was indoctrinated because the is the absolute only f***ing way the ending we got would make sense.

Then the ending DLC will just expand on that. It won't erase what we saw. That was all indoctrination.

It's still stupid that it's what we originally got, sure. They didn't give us any confirmation or any real ending. But I still think it's kinda just.. what their plan was. Make this terrible ending. Hint at indoctrination. Then when all the fans rage, release DLC to rectify it.

Honestly I'm kinda hoping that's what it is. It's still pretty damn low, but it's better than thinking that they really just planned on... this being the actual end.

People don't want to believe that this is how it ended, but it almost certainly was the real intention! I would be surprised if the DLC confirms any kind of indoctrination occurred during the ending, or that what they release substantially changes the ending. I think clarification is what they'll go for. If the indoctrination theory is true, they need to completely work in a real ending, gameplay and everything, and I just don't know that that will be the case.

Wow, the vid is of jaw-dropping quality, probably one of the best gaming fan vids I've ever seen. Like RayDyn, though, I'm wary of giving Bioware that much credit. It's not only too genius, but as HM pointed out, it's almost too cruel, because it suggests that the real ending had been planned for later all along, and probably for a price tag.

But I have to wonder - isn't at least some of the upcoming DLC confirmed to be post-ending? How would that even work?
