This is the absolute worst storyline in a game I have ever seen. I am not exaggerating.

Hey I watched this too. Man this is a big topic.

It makes me sad because if you go back to when this game came out, there were so many people defending it on this board.

I'm pretty sure I even remember some guy saying how the story had an amazing twist, and you just had to play it. I don't even know what that was about.

I haven't checked in on this thread since page 3 but has everyone agreed that Other M is a blight upon the series and if they continue in this direction it will ruin Metroid forever?

Nah. There are, however, plenty of people arguing that a) Other M is underrated and a "gameplay game," and b) that those who criticize it are "butthurt" and need to "move on."

So the usual denial trash, in other words!

I wouldn't defend the gameplay myself but I'm proud of the board for mostly accepting that the story is trash, just visited a metroid fan forum where the moderator was freaking out at people for disliking other m and how much negativity it's brought to the series. yes, hate the fans instead of sakamoto and team ninja for making this abortion LOL

it really is unfortunate that metroid will probably be shelved for a long time again if not permanently as a result of other m, but that's all on the game developers and I guess a little on nintendo for their new attitude that anything that isn't guaranteed to sell a million copies isn't even worth localizing themselves, much less making in the first place. were we supposed to lie and say this game was great?

Thing I've always been confused by is that while they've had this attitude for a while, during that time they've been publishing Dragon Quest games in America when Square-Enix themselves didn't want to because they won't sell particularly high amounts
