More like who actually plays unranked draft style. The only reason to play unranked is so your game doesn't take 6 minutes to start. I'm surprised that unranked draft SR beats Dominion.

People who want to queue up with 3 or 4, but not 5, and like bans. Also, from my limited experience, people who like to queue dodge.

I get a lot of Queue dodges in normal queue too actually.

I like draft normals for counter picking and not getting annoying match ups that I really hate to play. The Bans really aren't that important to me. Also I think I see a wider amount of characters in draft vs. blind. In Blind I see Lee Sin, Morgana, Shyvana, and Shaco all the time.

draft does get you more variety, but blind gets you to play matches you normally wouldn't, which can help you learn other things

Right now I see it like this:

Play against bots to test build times and learn new languages
Play blind to test strategies
Play draft to prepare for when I hit 30
Play TT when I just want IP or to do something silly (like AS/on-hit Lulu when I get her)
Play Dominions when I want a fast brawl of a game

I haven't tried any custom games yet. Are there any interesting options?

I'm not sure what it teaches you aside from possibly some map awareness vs split pushing and it doesn't even give you IP but it was surprisingly addictive last night <_<

CDR boots are useless unless you're support kayle.

If you need CDR that badly sneak a Stinger in there. It's dirt cheap and gives AS/CDR.

Bloodthirster is my final "big item" because with Thirster and Gunblade you'll be nearly impossible to kill. Wait for someone to ignite you then hit Ultimate. Boom.

You can build anything with Kayle but my build is for late game. Enemies WILL focus you. They have to. Thirster Gunblade Rageblade make that focus a serious waste of resources.

Kayle's Q scaling off of 100% AD/AP is why Rageblade/Gunblade are my first 2 items. Before you harass someone make sure to get max Rageblade and then Q them in lane. It's a silly amount of harass

I'm just addicted to CDR ._. Maximum button pressing! Even though I know that a bigger burst is better most of the time...

Tried building Rageblade first and liked the results. I've seen mentions of starting with the DRing instead of shoes and pots; what are your guys' thoughts on that.

I'm now sad that I missed the Kayle skin sale.

Mostly for solo top Kayle. I've liked it so far, but it wasn't as much of an improvement as taking E first instead of Q. Being able to farm from range right away seems more useful than being able to poke for solo top.

Poking some champs solo top is extremely useful at level 1. Against someone like trynd getting that early advantage is key to winning the lane

Pick Teemo. When she Q's you blind her so the passive doesn't activate. Then laugh as she remembers she has to auto attack for damage.

Dorans Ring works for mid lane Kayle if their jungler isn't a good early ganker. Top lane Kayle needs boots. Period. At level 2 you can harass with slow and E and do an incredible amount of damage.

Max CDR can be achieved without CDR boots. Nashor's gives 25 percent and Blue buff will cap you. Blue buff Kayle has her ultimate on a 35 second cooldown.

We had a strong nasus in Loss #2 but he NEVER waited for our team to be together.
He would just start fights whenever he damn well pleased.

Corki is 2 screens away? Why wait! I'll just start a fight and then QQ at corki after.
Repeat that^ times 50. That sums up the game.



Loss #1 was courtesy of a riven who abandoned top at 4 minutes in. She just left top and started taking our skarners jungle. Which obviously sucks but we told our skarner to man up and hold top. He refused and proceeded to assume the game was over.

The lesson to be learned from Loss #1 is sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and do whats best for the team. In that case it mean skarner covering top instead of letting wave after wave run into the tower and no one got any XP for it. We still almost won that game in spite of everything, but the chain reaction trolling caught up to us. If we had 4-5 people actually trying (instead of QQing) the entire game it's a different story.


Loss #1 I played close to perfectly, starting 3-0. Might have been able to play Loss #2 slightly better, but there really wasn't much for me to do other than blood lust people and throw down exhausts and ignites. Couldn't stop Nasus from 1v4 while his team is 5~ seconds away.

You just gotta catalog the games in the back of your mind and get over them. We lost and we know why we lost and that will have to be good enough.

Movespeed against a team with a good early ganker like lee sin or Mundo, hybrid if they have someone like Warwick.

Mundo rune set should be catered to the jungle because he shines there. Attack speed reds, armor yellows, scaling mr blues, spell vamp quints.

If you REALLY want to solo top then go attack damage reds and quints. At level 1 you just attack the enemy. If they fight you just laugh and when you hit half health press E and start chunking them with over 100 damage level 1. Then press exhaust when they run. never level W. Just Q and E. Rush frozen mallet and punish weak lanes by denying them everything.

OR: health regen and flat health Everywhere. Max out W and push your lane then run and counter jungle with wriggles and your W. There's nothing funnier than constantly stealing your enemies double golems starting at level 3.

Unless my teammates decide they don't want to leash for me, Jungle Kayle is a beast! Catching enemies can be a bit tricky unless the laner has some more CC though.

Also, Surge on junglers is something I haven't tried before, but it's working great on Kayle. She doesn't need Flash as much as other champs with her speedboost+ult.

I also run Surge on jungle Kayle. It ensures that you can win an early game duel if someone tries to catch you at a buff or counter you (or might scare them into thinking you can) because most other junglers will be carrying flash.

I don't recommend dueling anyone as early-game Kayle, though, things can easily turn bad for you, especially if their team is observant and comes to help. I just focus on farming the jungle and ganking heavily, since the decent movespeed slow and the awesome damage are all most laners really need to get a kill. Lategame I love catching carries roaming their jungle and melting them before they can even react.

Ever since Stark's Fervor was removed though I've been messing with builds. Right now I'm at Wriggle's -> Zerker -> Cleaver -> Malady -> Rageblade -> situational but I might start swapping Rageblade/Malady. I also want to experiment with different rune pages, right now I run AS red/blue/quint and I think it's a little overkill

edit: I haven't tried to make Kayle work in any other slot so I don't know much of the theory, but people definitely sleep on her, I hate that Riot keeps talking about another complete rework
