To be more specific about the situation, Double was on Vayne and they were fighting Fortune and Alistar, a Lane that Vayne gets murdered in. They were actually losin lane until 6. Then they began initiating fights the second their ultis were up.
Vayne gets low and then boom Night Hunter and Lulu Ult. You wanna run but aoe slow and vayne's passive are making it so you can't run. The health bonus means she has waaaay more health than you so you can't fight back. Hell, if it's still up by the time she gets to your turret she can just dive and lol.
Did I mention lulu is slowing you and turning you into a squirrel while this is happening?
In case you the rants weren't obvious enough I hate lulu. She wins trades. All of them.

This does nothing to help champions like Taric who are suddenly out of a job because of the focus on early dominance in bot lane.
Soraka is currently the most played solo queue champion for two reasons.
1. She's the only sustain support left that deserves any respect for her sustain capabilities. (By which I mean, champions like Sona you don't even play for the heals anymore)
2. She's the only support that shuts down kill lanes/ damaging pokes with her ridiculously powerful heals, and lets HER carry dish them out endlessly by dispensing mana.

2. Finally someone acknowledged how retarded Lulu's kit is. Doublelift told Chauster flat out "that ult and polymorph combined are just broken. You can just completely turn any engage into a winning trade."
It's true. The health bonus Is bad enough but that AOE slow is just a joke. You get polymorphed and are chain slowed by a giant AD carry with silly amounts of health. She hits 6 and unless they're down a massive amount they win lane.
Expect alot of Lulu soon.
Lol you see the light too. Glad I showed you that. It's not only Viable but fun. Just don't pick her against Yi/Lee/Shyvana/Skarner those 4 you might want to reconsider the Jungle Raka pick. They just kinda walk into your jungle not looking for a camp but for a Soraka... Which is no good.
Yea her kit is shockingly strong but I'm okay with that. Either they buff the other supports back up or they make more of them when they see how popular Lulu is. Either way is a win-win IMO.
I think Lulu has too much damage and too low mana costs for how much utility her kit has. Her auto does more than ad carries early and has similar range. Luckily in this case the riot balancing method of "nerf damage values/mana costs/cooldowns randomly" might fix the champion because the biggest issue is her stats are just too beefy.
She's basically got Sona's ability to hammer you with damage early + passively protect the carry with glitterlance (this somehow costs less than hymn of valor despite having more range and adding slow) the shield and her auto but with a bunch of useful utility spells beyond that instead of just flat damage/flat healing stuff.
That being said it's a new champ so I assume this was intentional on Riot's part and nerfs are coming.

I didn't even MENTION her passive and how it makes level 1 fights auto win.
It's just her ult and the massive AOE slow. Like...what the hell were they thinking? Nasus ult plus an AOE slow? Like, imagine if Nasus could ult and it would slow everyone around him so you couldn't escape.
Now throw that on a carry with 2 damage steroids. Love the idea but she made other supports look so small in comparison. If someone picks lulu you have to pick Janna. There's no other option.

Lulu's pretty similar to Janna actually, she's just... better in pretty much every way. She's like Janna with twice as many options, less mana costs on everything, a better skillshot move (80% slow what-- this obsoletes Zephyr too by the way which only gets half that amount of slow at max ranks), a shield that adds more damage and adds that much damage with just one point. I can't think of anything that Janna has over lulu except maybe the ult being selectively more useful in that it can rearrange the teamfight (though Lulus is more useful generally) and her tornado's knockup working against channel stuff. And the passive I guess. But yeah, she's pretty outclassed.
And Janna is the second best support so lol.

In my experience Caitlyn doesn't do that well against Graves and her mid game blows compared to his. Doesn't really seem like a counter at all. Not like Cait/Ashe or Cait/Vayne. Also Sivir post Remake is an absolute ***** for Caitlyn. I hate playing Cait against Sivir.
Also late game carry comparison is silly because they'll rarely 1v1 so how much dps they put out compared to the other when they all are 3-4 shotting people isn't that important. Range and sometimes AS steroid for towers a bit more important.
I guess Urgot and Jarvan fall off but you are banking on them winning their lane hard.
A champion with a slow as f*** skill shot and traps against a champion with a mana replenishing spell shield is always a bad match-up for the former. That never changed.
And how much DPS matters a lot when Graves, Ashe, Corki and their ilk all have methods of dealing damage in the heat of battle that isn't just endless auto attacks. And most if not all of those methods work on multiple targets. Her Q doesn't cut it.

Shrug autoattacks are dealing much more damage then their stuff in a late game teamfight. It's easier to kill a graves then a Caitlyn.
Preremake Caitlyn just autoattacked Sivir to death, you could literally auto, auto, auto her behind your minions and if she tried walking at you you'll net her and autoattack her some more. And there are still tricks you can do to sivir like when she trys to disarm your trap for free mana you hit her with a different spell Cait Q, Support anything and then she steps into the trap and takes a ton of damage for some mana. It's not unwinnable. (I don't think anything in this game is unwinnable.) But it's definitely annoying and hard to deal with.
Also Ashe deals less DPS then Caitlyn beyond level 3 according to a DPS carry chart (That is lame because it did not include Corki or Ezreal.) So why do you keep mentioning her when talking about damage. Like Ashe is awesome late game because of her Q, E and R but none of those are damage skills. They are utility skills. Using Volley/P. Bomb/Peacemaker/Buckshot in team fights I think actually results in Lower dps. I can see Volley being used for the long range aoe Slow or any of them to shoot something you can't see. But in teamfights your picking the AD Carry for well... The Autoattack.
I know it was 75% off but it's just inferior (largely because Judgment Kayle is amazing)
It's the same reason I never buy a Sona skin despite most of them (aka not Muse Sona) being decent because her default is still her best one.
Though I'd actually consider buying Silent Night Sona if they ever released her again. She used to look bad but she looks good now because they redid her splash (which annoyed me cause they redid it way after she was no longer available to buy)

Just picked up Ashe so that I could have a ranged AD for when people claim Lulu for support. Should I be building any on-hit effects, or just Crit/AS/AD? Also, how well does a Jungle Ashe work? She seems to be a pretty handy roamer.

Ashe always Bot or Mid. Normally Bot. Zerker Greaves ,Infinity Edge, Last Whisper, Phantom Dancer is her core. Bloodthrister and QSS/Guardian Angel/Banshee Veil are good follow ups. Just learn to use her E and R correctly, turn off her Q when you don't need it and position yourself in a teamfight to not die while still doing damage. Ask Chris for finer Ashe stuff.
I beat Graves every time I pick Caitlyn. You outrange him by a ton.
The problem with Caitlyn isn't Caitlyn, it's the people who pick Caitlyn. They know they can't be killed if they play defensive, so they just sit back and farm, which leads to a mid/late game where they are intrinsicly outclassed. Caitlyn has the capacity to absolutely shut down people in lane, but you have to play her very aggressively. People don't.
Nailed it. Caitlyn and Sona can absolutely poke and zone the other lane out completely. Ban Soraka and just laugh at your competition. Her mid game is weak but you can compensate for it by making the opposing carry even worse.
Ashe is probably my favorite late game carry because unlike Kog you dont need a team built around her. Ashe needs very little protection as long as she's the one initiating on you.
Anyone who has ever played a tanky dps or initator knows how frustrating late game Ashe is. Someone gets arrowed and die and youre frantically trying to get her but volley is keeping you slowed and every auto attack is chunking you for massive crits.
