it was to be expected, but the Tekken characters play NOTHING like in their respective series
they don't have too many moves though, so you get used to it quick
all of them have a command dash, which is used to counter projectiles
and yea, the story is very inconclusive. theres probably gonna be a sequel
I hate how FGs recently have been sucking balls in the story department

I played a few matches online. Pretty laggy stuff there man. and I'm one of the few, apparently , that doesn't get lag in MvC3 (everybody b****es about that. I don't see it >_>)
My copy gets here in a couple days since I got it on newegg for the discount, looking forward to it. Tekken characters playing Street Fighter-ish with SF style inputs is definitely a good thing for me.

I KINDA like the idea of Gems, giving a specific boost in a stat that fits your play style. but I dunno, I don't feel like its executed very well. plus, them charging for gems is horse s***

I LOVE the stages. theres so much fan service in them. theres only like one or two lame ones. but with that said, I don't think there are many of them. its a shame.
Believe he also mentioned Rival Schools, but yeah, CvS2 was what people he's talking to have been comparing it to. Can't say myself, just passing it on!

my biggest concern going into this is the clock. if you can't deal enough damage in 99 seconds at low level play, might have to mess with setting it longer.

it being similar to a MVC\TVC crossover game already disproves that IMO
CvS2 is a biit slower, its just basically a SF game
For being someone who is actually good at fighting games you sure seem to care about superfluous stuff way too much! stages, post-battle banter that you'll skip right through forever after the first week even if it's good, story
but just to make sure, since you said the story is very inconclusive, you know that if you mix and match teams you get a super generic ending right? Some of the official teams have closure in their endings.

of course it's early so everyone's easy on the first day
can't really decide on who to use as my 2nd (well i'm gonna use Mega Man, but he's not out until next week), but so far I've been having the most luck with Rolento

And the only reason why people are saying "3s players might like this" is most likely because of Renic and Rockefeller getting so far in Cross Assault. Personally, this game seems kinda like a 2.5D CvS2 with hard tags more than 3S.
I'll find out soon enough! picking it up later today. will post my thoughts here or in the FG topic.
