I was there when they were getting kicked out, the policeman said "Adios" as well and I am not certain on what happened but someone said something about a £100 fine and getting kicked out of the hotel.
I like to imagine the policeman was struggling whether to go with "Adios" or "Guess now you know why that was a crappy idea huh?" for a one-liner.
i dunno, i'd imagine a fine one liner to introduce yourself would be 'hi, we're the police that management called. they said they aren't putting up with your crap.'

That works fine to introduce yourself, but the policeman said "Adios" as he was kicking them out if I understood correctly. Timing is much more important here.
Ruben was the Spanish player who won the tournament and Ben was the person he beat in the finals. Ben's name is listed as 1st place while Ruben's name isn't listed at all.
Allegedly the story was being blown out of proportion but I'm not sure of what exactly happened.

A video game subculture's controversy being blown out of proportion by the gaming media, leading to high-profile organizations in the culture taking sudden, perhaps unnecessary, actions to control the damage?
Never heard of that happening, especially not in the past two weeks.
