also, they actually throw away the cases to DS and Gamecube games and only have them in envelopes. WHO THE F*** DOES THIS?! I mean, our store does this..but only with PS2 games that are worth like a dollar.
My Gamestop is fine. Midnight releases are sometimes accompanied by free pizza and Chipotle's tortilla chips and salsa, and the employees have generally been knowledgeable enough.

mine guts out DS games and puts the contents in an envelope, but then when you buy the game they put all of it back into the game case and give that to you

Do gamestops ever keep cases in the back or behind the counter? I don't understand how my gamestop has more DS games in the glass cases than they have on the shelves. Does no one ever bring cases in with their DS games?

hate to break it to you, Bigpun, but more Gamestops are pretty terrible than good.
Luckily there are several directly near me. The one closest to me is awesome. Great staff, they don't gut their games immediately, etc. But the one downtown...terrible. Ran by a bunch of hoodrats. Garbage all over the store. They're a bunch of liars too.

and no, they told me they THROW AWAY the cases. There a couple of glass "lockers" that are used to display games that are sold to us because the customers sell us DS games without a case at each gamestop
their ENTIRE used DS game library are in those things.
well, they DID ask me "Xbox or PS3" when I asked about MGS (and I answered "both)
so it MAY have been force of habit, but they didn't catch themselves after several seconds or so of awkward staring and I still had to correct them. And yes, I did say Zelda, which is a detail I should've included
