Never played this before, got it on 3DS. Anything I should know, spoiler-free of course? Specifically whether there are important missables or stuff like that. Worst example is Nier. Other than that I'm pretty sure you can get all of them in a single playthrough. I'm pretty positive that in my only playthrough on the PS2 version, the only 2nd Mystic Arte I didn't get was Anise's for whatever reason. Also, there's a bunch of side-quests that you can miss if you didn't know about them ahead of time, so looking at a guide could actually help with that. I never use guides, but I found all the sidequests in Symphonia by myself, to take a related example. Your first point is definitely valid, but as for the 3D, it's been great so far. I was intent on playing in 2D because a couple of reviews complained about it, but it's no worse than Zelda or MGS3. I'm thinking it's more of a "3D sucks" mindset than an argument against the 3D in this game specifically. Unless it gets worse I'll probably stick with the 3D on max. Can you change who you control mid-battle? Liger Queen is a ***ing WALL on higher difficulties just because you're so limited in what you have to work with that early on in the game. Harder modes boost the Phys. Defense of bosses through the god damn roof, too. I could make better cutscenes than this in 10 minutes, and that's a fact. No grasp on even the most basic principles of animation... sigh. They should have learned after Symphonia. Lol at Luke freaking out over killing people. He's such a miserable failure, yet has the gall to be a pompous jerkass towards everyone. I love him already. Jade's awesome too of course, especially when interacting with said jerkass. Then Tear rounds out the trinity of awesome with her goofiness hidden behind a serious facade. Could do without the annoying little girl and squeaky mascot, but they do extract additional lulz from Luke. And wtf Guy showing up out of nowhere. Who the heck calls their son Guy anyway? Well at least they can say well done son guy and snicker a bit, and then nobody else laughs because it wasn't funny. Then just as I remembered that one of the main characters in FF2 was called Guy, I read this guy's(snicker) status page and his last name is... Cecil. Sort of an ironic moment there. Questions: What's the "Enhancement" stat? Everyone has a 0 in it but I got a Capacity Core that raises it. Worth it? Also what's the difference between Manual, Semi-Auto and Auto battle modes?
