It needs to not require many brain activities. If I was capable of thinking right now I'd be working on OS homework or finishing Infinite Jest.

It can be confusing at first, especially going in blind, but once you get the hang of it it becomes one of the most enjoyable works of fiction ever produced. Just keep in mind that it's written to be a text based adventure game and uses abstract game mechanics as if they're common place. If you're not understanding something it's probably because you weren't meant to just yet. There's a reason why "you'll get it in a thousand pages" is a common thing said in my group of friends.

Problem Sleuth is a different beast from Homestuck. It basically has no plot or dialogue and is just wacky (but fun) zaniness the whole way through.
The beginning of Homestuck is kind of bleh (I quit and came back for a year around the end of Act 1), but if you give it a chance it just gets better and better and better. -- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. ... Copied to Clipboard!

No I think one of those is like... 70 pages and the other is like 130? Something like that. I read through Bard Quest (the shortest one) before realizing he was just linking to his old stuff and that it wasn't a part of Homestuck. Neither is as good as HS or PS.

Cuz there does seem to be a lot more people getting into it since then. I got into it since then, but I had no idea about any of that. I think I just started noticing the name a lot around the web and figured I should check it out. Snowballing effect I guess. Then I discovered I'm actually an older fan than most everyone else, because I followed Jailbreak way back then and typed in commands and stuff. Had no idea Homestuck was related to that! ... Just finished Act 2 of Homestuck. This s*** be crazy. Not entirely sure what was going on in the ending montage. Like I got the gist of it, but I feel there was some serious foreshadowing and possible connections flying back and forth that were moving too quick for me to grasp.

Things will make more sense as you continue. There are questions brought up in that video that aren't answered for thousands of pages, so I wouldn't feel like you have to try and make sense of everything now.

Just finished the first year recap. I got about 90% of the stuff in the recap prior to reading it, but I'm glad that final 10% was explained. For instance the MEOW GCAT stuff for the most part completely flew over my head.
