Not a load of difference between 3150 and 1350, pricewise, and free weeks would always have them so.
Anyway for those playing the home game that makes 9 months since the last 4800 and 13 months since the last 3150. Assuming a reasonable rate of play you can get a 1350 after like 10 games, a 3150 after like 20. It's not a huge deal. You can get either one at pretty early levels! My first champion bought (Pantheon) was a 3150!

I don't have most AP Carries actually. I don't even have Ryze or Annie. I think Leblanc and Veigar are the only two I have that aren't assassins or ad/ap hybrids or whatever. Karthas is like Anivia Lite honestly. You throw down a wall, you throw down an AoE nuke, you hit skillshots. But you have the added benefit of "snipe someone globally" when the situation is right and "you killed me but I still have 7 seconds to finish you off". You just have to get super consistent with your skillshots. I honestly don't think Joyrock's whining about being banned is any worse than other people's whining about losing/champs being op. I actually agree with him that trash talking shouldn't be a bannable offense, no matter how obnoxious you get about it. (though I kinda think he has some leaves/intentional feeds too regardless of whether he admits it considering his mindset about leaving)
