With the new level, new wishlist. Stuff for the list:

-Upgrade for Vae Damno to +2 (Frostbrand Weapon), Mordenkainen's Magical Emporium.
-Badge of the Berserker +2, Adventurer's Vault 2.
-Backlash Tattoo, Adventurer's Vault 2.
-Boon of the Fading One, Dragon 389.
-Defensive Step Training, Dungeon Master's Guide 2.
-Belt of Vim, Adventurer's Vault

And there's one more item I was thinking of, but it's more of a party op thing: The Battle Standard of the Hungry Blade, from Dragon 381. What that item does is cluster up enemies in range around it and slow them, which is pretty much ideal for us given we have Amy and Brona's AoE hax. I'm asking because it's an item that would work for Vance or Euri more, but I don't mind putting it on my tab if that'll help, I just won't be using it myself most likely. Whatcha think guys? Worth adding?

EDIT: Oh right, speaking of which, I totally forgot - since you seemed a bit dissatisfied about being forced to Direct The Strike all day erryday, CPU, it might be a good idea to check out Intuitive Strike. Not only does it give us a much needed reliable bonus to attack rolls, but since it got errata'd, it works on Inspiringlord's too and is very accurate. Might be worth a look so you can have Euri go into the fray instead of having to grant us actions. :)

If you're going for that, take Mark of Healing. It's a better Saving Inspiration.

It only just occurred to me that they buffed Two-Weapon Fighting. Before it used to only add the +1 damage bonus to your main hand weapon but now it's just a +1 bonus to damage rolls with weapon attacks in general.

Not that this changes anything since the shortsword hardly gets used and when it has I think it's missed or crit a minion.

...Wat. Drizzt's double-low-blow counterkick is an item? I feel deeply disturbed by the fact that I missed that!

EDIT: Boons are basically slotless items that provide a bonus. That's about the size of it, really. They can be broken if somebody tries to be a munchkin and stack slot items and boons, but as long as that's limited they're cool things. I kind of fluff most of Val's junk as boons myself, for instance.

Haha yes, that picture is awesome. One of my buddies in an old game decided this was his canon father (who he never met).

Also I stumbled across this and thought it was much better than the simple alignment system we have in 4th:

Euri is Kindly, Vance is Benevolent or a Free Spirit, Val is Righteous, Amy is Obedient, and Brona...doesn't quite fit. Closest thing is Vigilante.

She views Rael with not admiration but...an understanding that he brought about some measure of order to her corner of the universe. So, when faced with an alternative of chaos, it is in Amy's best interests to align herself with Rael. Only to the point where it coincides with her larger goals...aka restoring the universe to its proper state or if such is impossible, optimizing the remaining resources (rather than squandering them on petty wars).

Why yes, the crazy tortured Raelette who would do anything to further her spiteful goals did say something to that effect. Even assuming that would be the case, it would still result in a universe with more order than is currently available. Sure, it trades one set of problems for another, but as she has said, nothing lasts forever. Eventually something would tip the scales one way or another. Likely Rael's boredom over having such control. It is the only logical end for someone with such power.

Breaking the orbs, on the other hand, would leave things as they are and leave a potential bad end for everyone with the mages destroying everything over meager scraps of potential left in the universe.

So it was a choice between something that could create some measure of order (despite not being ideal order), or something that could bring about ruin for all.

Amy choose order.

Session notes:

-World is just as screwed up way back when as it is back home.

-Aluxial is still as cuckoo for cocoa puffs as ever. Rael is surprisingly not a douche.

-We just killed one of the most important elves ever. That crit feels good now.

-We met our super distant ancestors. They hid in caves cowardly for generations. No sight of Euri's though. I smell a sidequest.

-It's us against an unfair, broken world now. We gotta find Rael.

-We got one item from our wishlists of level+2 or lower.

-The grimdark is getting to our heroes. Valerian is tired of having to fight meaningless battles just to get by, Vance is sick of wizard BS, Euri is already sick of her human form, Amy is disappointed about the state of the world and we don't know about Brona's feelings on the matter. The stars in the sky are even more cold and uncaring than the black void.
