I seriously do remember FF7 like it was yesterday. I don't think I've ever been more pumped to get a game in my entire life, because I loved 6 so much.

Man, I remember getting it for my birthday. I exclusively played videogames based on whatever my older brother got and when he finally let me play his Final Fantasy games (6 on the SNES) I was so pumped. When I saw Cloud standing on that cover, flipped it over and read, "quite possible the greatest game ever made." on the back I knew this would be something special.

Doesn't seem like all that long ago.

It was the ONLY PSX game I owned for a while. I remember being unhappy about hearing that Square wasn't going to make games for Nintendo anymore.

Realizing that my little sister was in pre-school when it came out, and now she's almost 21... it's kind of a scary thought.

Didn't get it until a year after it was out. My Aunt bought it for us (along with a Playstation).

I still remember my brother naming all of his characters really stupid profane names.

Same, I only started playing it because it was winning in the best game tournament and I wanted to see what the fuss was about.

Great game, but FFVIII was the entry that got me into the series, so I was a little late to the party.

I remember when Final Fantasy came out. As in, FF1. Those were good times, man, good times. Much more entertaining than playing Dragon Warrior.
