Do devs really HAVE to do the ****ty thing where they combine the old boxart? Would original bxart be so bad?

If I wasn't 99% confident this was gonna be a terrible fake HD collection, I would be pretty annoyed here!

Yeah, the problem isn't so much that there are three boxarts as much as the PS3 box wants to shove those 3 boxarts into 1/3 of the vertical area of the box so it just looks really cramped. 360 looks fine.

Well considering they know that the people are going to buy it anyway because all of the sheeple will purchase anything that's not even 10 years old with slight graphical improvements if they liked it in the first place. Why pay someone to make new art when they can have some intern go into MS paint and do it for free? It's not like rereleasing these games is a labor of love for anybody.

I don't see the problem. It shows you the 3 games you're getting and doesn't have any confusion, which is the point of box arts: To sell the product. Not to make some artsy thing.

Boxart isn't a big concern for me but I'm wondering what you mean by fake HD. Do you mean like the other HD collections or is this one going to be somehow worse?

I can see people getting b****y if like, Japan got some boxart that was godly and we got some cut and paste job, like the MM collection for PSP

They're both bad. The 360 version would be better but because of the 360 logo and green it looks really ugly. I would have removed the damn Xbox logo at the top and that huge banner garbage that says remastered on the bottom for starters.

If anything this should be complained about more. Sony has the right idea with a black and white banner, it doesn't look ugly with anything. The neon green clashes with a lot.

This. I personally care more about what the side of the case looks like, since it'll be the main thing I see when its on the shelf.

360 looks fine, PS3's big silver banner is pretty ugly.

Going by RE4, Capcom's idea of HD is to change it from 4:3 to 16:9, with absolutely no other alterations whatsoever.

These are just going to be widescreen ports.
