It isn't. You have a good amount of battles that you can put in between visits to the graveyard; there's also a story purpose behind it, so it has a reason to be there besides making you 'drain the malice.'

ah ok

I've been going every time it flashes at me after a battle, which has been pretty often! if it takes a while to get to red then I'm sure it'll be fine.

yeah, it's like 20 battles before you need to clear it out. still not ideal but it's really not a big deal.

Yeah "cleansing yourself of Malice" is simple but I like to do it to gain a bonus item once in a while but if you try the optional boss either real late or after you beat the game can take what seems like a couple hours and if you're not prepared you won't survive but it gives you the best transformation in the game.

two hours? you did something really wrong if that takes more than 10 minutes.

now the last boss? that can take a while in a normal playthrough.

as Nee, ZFS, and Shoe can vouch, my internet is usually horrible and playing me is not a fun experience. you're not missing out on much!

Shadow Hearts 1 & 2 are both better than any Xenosaga game.

Now let's cleanse ourselves from this filth and get back to work.

She didn't accomplish too much, but I liked her story and how she did her own thing. Everyone has that side character they like that no one else really does!

I think SH1 benefits from focusing on Yuri, Simon, Zhuzhen and Alice above everyone else. And even amongst them, Zhuzhen and Alice get most of their time in the sun as an adjunct to Yuri or Simon.

I think about plot relevance a little too much. for SH1, I'd say it goes Yuri > Simon > Alice > Zhuzhen > Margarete > Halley > Keith.

SH2 is much weirder though. it's probably something like Yuri >> uhhh Karin > Anastasia > Nicolai > Rasputin > Kato > Alice > Kurando > Blanca > Joachim > Geppetto > Lucia. that game is literally nothing but Yuri.
