- Vote from 0-10, use 5 as an average, decimals are okay. - Don't be lame and use alts or anything like that. - Only vote if you've played enough of the respective game to have a good feel for the character. This if of course subjective for the character so you'll have to use your own judgment. But if you played fifteen minutes of the game once, you probably don't know the character well enough. - Nominations are closed until further notice.

Ahem. 9.6/10. Has absolutely hilarious moments in FF8, his limit break is nothing short of AWESOME, and hes just fun as hell to use in Dissidia. Perfect example of a guy whos so much of a doofus that hes badass for it.

A staple formula for FF villains: "They only do this, but lets kill them anyway!!!"
cyan1001's votes are dubious in nature as far as how honest they are (given he literally votes on every day of Do You Like This Character) but he sorta had a thing where a video was posted confirming he was a person or something.
I mean that only really proves that the guy who is suspected to be his main has a brother that is willing to claim to have a GameFAQs account to cover for him but whatever. There's reasonable doubt that he's an alt at least.
Anyway
7.8 for Laguna

Yeah I wouldn't count them if I was running it just because of the sheer amounts of 0s he threw out and his history in DYLTC. But he certainly doesn't vote everything 0. I think his scale goes 0, 7, 8, 9, 10 or something.
Maybe I will be running it at some point given how often ownership of this topic changes.

Well, a bunch of 0 votes is more suspicious than a bunch of 10 votes anyway, mostly because it's more uncommon to see, and more detrimental to the score.
also he doesn't seem to know what an apostrophe is which is even shadier

All SuperNiceDog does is win! http://www.miscupload.com/upload/452457071929141623517416.gif
Actually a 0 only has more mathematical effect on the score if the character's score to that point is above a 5. If it's below a 5 the 10 will alter the score more.
Which happens pretty much every time because I can only assume people's perceptions on ratings are skewed by the American grading system.

Granted I realize it's not entirely fair to expect 5 to be the average score because most of these characters do have a following and are regarded as good to some degree but... when a reviled character like Eiko only nets a 4.5 you know something's up!

You are the cancer that infests our rating topics, Kakashi, you! Half the scale for varying degrees of failure... the only reason the school system is like that is because the idea is to encourage people to get a high percentage of the knowledge in the classes!
Gosh. By golly.

I usually just do what they did in school and use the whole percentage bullthing thing since its pounded on my head: 10-9 A 8 B 7 C 6 D 5-1 F 0 Special Ed
obviously some liberties were taken and usually end up something like this:
10 GODLIKE 9 Excellente 8 Good 7 Ok 6 Meh positive note at least 5 Mediocre 4 Bad 3 Really Bad 2 Not even kidding around it's ****ing Horse**** 1 God hates me 0 Die

Oh SuperNiceDog's doing it again dude. SuperNiceDog, you ain't no pimp dude
Well 6 or below is bad for school because they want you to know everything, ideally. I think that's fair. If 50% knowledge of your curriculum was a passing grade that'd be kinda silly.
But school isn't "rating" something either. No point in condensing the scale like that for a rating.
