The rare cases I make exceptions are pretty much just rare games that can't be found wrapped for under $200.

Games and books, both pretty often. Games because I rarely buy things day 1 and if I look for something used I can find it for much cheaper than if I buy it new and books because I like "Golden Age" mystery fiction that is mostly no longer in print.

85-90% of the games I buy in recent history are used

Like 80% of the books I buy. And sometimes I like to buy various household stuff, like (special/old) ashtrays, glass, a wooden table, couches, etc.. Stuff you don't tend to find new in store or is expensive. And you can usually make them really nice with a bit of work.

Oh, I am one yet many.

I never buy electronics used if I can help it, and anything dressy I like to own new. Everything else (games, normal clothes, automobiles, furniture aside from beds, books) is fine I think

Depends on what it is and how likely it is I'm getting damaged goods (and I care.)

Car = used, 2nd Xbox = used, some of my books = used. some of my furniture = used, Toilet paper = used. Besides that, I buy new.

And I only buy games used if I can't find it new anymore of it's significantly lower. But in most cases I'm actually able to find games at a much lower price, making them cheaper than buying them new, gotta love it when that happens!

Clothes = 0% used

I mostly buy used. Pretty much all the furniture, dishes, and what not in my house I got second hand.

The only used things I buy are old or rare games. It'd be hell to find new copies of NES games and the like.
