No ****, just beat it the other day, and was incredibly impressed with how well that entire game is...... crafted. I honestly don't feel like made is a good word to describe how Bastion came to be.

I'm also wondering about it... it looks like a Diablo thing to me, and I typically don't like those types of RPGs, so I dunno. I'll probably pass on it since I hardly ever actually play anything I buy on these Steam sales.

Don't be scared off by the Diablo-style of gameplay. I've never been able to play through more than an act of Diablo 2 in a sitting without getting bored/having my hands hurt, but Bastion is a completely different experience.

Bastion's dodge and weapon variety make it a LOT more engaging than what (little) I've played of the Diablo series. From a gameplay perspective, it's definitely more action than RPG.

Bastion is #4 in my game of the year rankings, and only loses out to my top 3 because they're amazing games which happen to be massive, while Bastion is quite short (although it's hard to playthrough without immediately starting new game+ afterwards. I'm saying this as someone who almost always ignores new game+ options). It's otherwise perfect in every way, and I say that without hyperbole. Brilliant, brilliant game.

That's a shame. There are certainly plenty of RPG elements, but if you don't feel like playing an action game Bastion probably isn't for you.

Bastion is a great experience. It feels very "complete" and polished in a way that I feel too few games manage to pull off.

all i really know of bastion stems from what i have seen in TB's 'wtf is bastion' video.

it seemed like an alright game. nothing too special, save for the narrator. i went ahead and bought it though, as $5 really isn't a high asking price. still a bit on the fence on how much i'll appreciate the game as i am seriously jonsing for a good strategy game, but when the mood strikes for an action game, this will likely hit the spot.
