Yeah, I do that sometimes. Depends on if I think I can catch them trying to get in an early hit; it doesn't always go well for me!

for chun, i think generally people use u1 when they're fighting a fireball character (other than guile, deejay, and maybe seth), just because it's one way to shut fireballs down when things get hairy. but since it otherwise doesn't have much use unless you get a combo in the corner, people use u2 in any other case.
