I actually like the choices. Lugia's gotta be the strongest non-RBY Pokemon, so it'll be interesting to see how he performs compared to other Pokemon, and League has a nice range due to a large fanbase. Granted, the same is true for WoW so League probably wouldn't do so hot, but at least it has some good potential. Aragorn's probably guaranteed in a fictional contest, but hey, better safe than sorry.

there are so many potential picks! Aragorn I kinda just thought of randomly.

But I am strongly favoring League of Legends for games, with Super Smash Bros. original also getting some consideration.

Lugia and Boo the ghost are the mains for consideration for standard character contest.

For the record, I do expect Gandalf to be LotR's strongest representative, especially since he'll have 2 more movies on Aragorn in the next couple years. But I disagree that the series would have come down that far from its peak... LotR and Star Wars are so universal in nerd culture, I don't see that changing anytime soon, and our site demographic figures to fit that niche perfectly.
