On second thought, Mario/Bowser, from an objective standpoint, should win the contest...

...will probably vote for Mario since I'm generally more of a Mario fan, but I'm in more of a Zelda mood right now. Argh.

At least it's nice to know that Mario and Zelda are the top dogs on this site instead of franchises I don't care about like Final Fantasy and Pokemon.

You should! SMRPG is a classic, Paper Mario is great and spawned some decent sequels, and while the M&L series starts off slow, PiT and BIS are well worth playing.

PiT is one of the most underrated games ever made. I replayed it not too long ago, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it held up - it has a ton of charm.

SMRPG and BIS are better, though.
