I know it's easy to write him off as an old herp derp republican white guy but check him out first and see what you think. I shamefully admit I voted for Obama but I'll be voting for Dr. Paul in the primary.

Check him out. I think a lot of the liberal gaming community will like what he has to say.

Not at all. In a free market, regulation is provided by the consumers. If you don't give them what they want, you go out of business.

That doesn't even remotely begin to cover all of the relevant regulation. What's to stop a company from dumping chemicals in the river (or releasing as many greenhouse gases as they want) to save money? Not enough people are going to care enough to boycott the product, and in the end the world is a s****ier place for everyone. The free market isn't the solution to all problems.

I like Ron Paul more than the rest because I feel that he is the most honest presidential candidate there is. I don't agree with all of his ideas but he's become much more reasonable recently on issues like welfare, I'd say more reasonable than many other GOP candidates.

I like the fact that he stands up for what he believes in, even if it's not the best idea. Anyway, he believes in limiting the power of the executive branch, so anyone who is afraid his ideas will be forced on everyone is lol.

*sigh*

Guess I have to bring this old thing out again:

"Since people are actually talking about Ron Paul like he's not a f***ing loony again, I guess it's time to once more drop the Paulbomb.

Ron Paul wants to define life as starting at conception, build a fence along the US-Mexico border, prevent the Supreme Court from hearing cases on the Establishment Clause or the right to privacy, permitting the return of sodomy laws and the like (a bill which he has repeatedly re-introduced), pull out of the UN, disband NATO, end birthright citizenship, deny federal funding to any organisation which "which presents male or female homosexuality as an acceptable alternative life style or which suggest that it can be an acceptable life style" along with destroying public education and social security,, and abolish the Federal Reserve in order to put America back on the gold standard. He was also the sole vote against divesting US federal government investments in corporations doing business with the genocidal government of the Sudan.

Oh, and he believes that the Left is waging a war on religion and Christmas, he's against gay marriage, is against the popular vote, opposes the Civil Rights Act of 1964, wants the estate tax repealed, is STILL making racist remarks, believes that the Panama Canal should be the property of the United States, and believes in New World Order conspiracy theories, not to mention his belief that the International Baccalaureate program is UN mind control.. "

Citings for literally all of those things: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3451862#post398071680

And a little something I like to call Crazy Uncle Ron's Crazy Racist Newsletters: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3451862#post398069899

Ron Paul is a terrible person who just happens to occasionally say things that are correct.

I was saying "Okay" to some of the stuff, and "Finally someone sees this my way!" on other things. Forget if I agreed on everything, but I could accept everything he said; I have no strong feelings AGAINST anything he said.

But, I have not really looked at any other candidates. Although, I like to judge books by their covers. Seriously, if someone doesn't LOOK like they could be the POTUS, then I won't vote for them, unless something seriously changes my mind.

I'd have to talk with someone I know from school that knows everything about the candidates and asks him what he thinks about Ron Paul. Because he actually has an educated decision, or educated something, lol. I forget the phrase. Maybe it is decision? Idk.

I was thinking about voting for Obama again, but I just think he'll get chewed out by Congress, he won't be able to really even do anything as POTUS, and it'll just be sad because all this stress will make his hair more white and gray.

I kinda wish Hilary Clinton was president. I mean, how bad of job can you do when you have a husband (that you probably see very frequently) that's had 8 years of experience at the job? That's just what I think. I'm not educated on the matter.
