Mainly cause Goku says they are. Also, I was not thinking. Majin Vegeta (both of them) should be MILES ahead of base Gotenks.
The entirety of the Buu power levels. The anime (both English and Japanese) makes it rather clear Kid Buu is the strongest Buu, not the most dangerous, they say he is just stronger than Super Buu. Obviously that is not true. it is easy to think of other places the Manga is better, but I can't really think of another moment that is just absolutely destroyed by the anime. Oh wait, yes I can.... Characters in Dragon Ball Z usually sweat and freak out at scary high power levels even for characters on their side. Besides if King Kai was asking why Supreme Kai was there, not if Majin Buu was being woken up.

Goku is the worse father by default just because he is literally never there. By time Dragon Ball Z ended, he had only spent 8 of Gohan's 17 years there. He didn't even know Goten existed. SSJ Vegeta is stated to be stronger than SSJ Goku at that time. A Goku following 4 years of training now since Namek, where he all ready outclassed 100% Frieza. Even with the heart virus, if 19 was that weak, Goku could have instantly finished him. Beyond that, if 20 was indeed that weak, then Vegeta would not have had to worry after 19 absorbed his energy. It is never said for certain, but almost assuredly Vegeta. The only way Trunks surpassed Vegeta (he thought) was by going USSJ II, so it stand to reason, if they were both only USSJ, that Vegeta was stronger. Also, when Goku forfeits at the Cell games, everyone thinks he is about to name Vegeta as his replacement. Finally, when they went back in the RoSaT again, Vegeta was spurred on by Goku's FPSSJ. We are given no clues at all about Piccolo in the Buu saga for stength. Every other overriding storyline has been taken care of. The Universal Tyrant has been saved, Piccolo and Vegeta both had their moments of redemption, Bulma has succeeded in bring back Yamcha and the others... The Legendary Super Saiyan has been achieved, and other things I can't think of right now. I love the Cell saga, but it should have ended at Frieza. If it did not, it definitely should have ended at Cell. Piccolo and Kami were once again one, Gohan had unleashed his potential, Vegeta decided he would NEVER fight again.
