Why bother remaking FF7 - there's nothing notable there to begin with. Remake CC for f***s sake or better yet don't remake anything. Layton vs. Ace Attorney is going to be badass.

I used to think I hated this game, but I've come to realize I just hate the battle system really. For all it's other flaws, if they just gave us a different battle system I'd enjoy the game a lot more.

I like chrono cross as much as the next person (beaten it through about 15+ times I'm sure, full rainbow crap on everyone, blah blah, etc).... but I really would cut the playable character cast in half or even less, and then strengthen the plot development for the ones left

for me it's basically just "roll a die and pick whoever". the only characters I really used all the time and cared about were kid and then fargo, and that was only because I needed people who could steal <_<..

I think if I had to make one big choice though, I wouldn't be upset at all if viper and anyone in that line of people (generals, ridd, etc) were storyline only characters... simply because they either have to be all playable or all not playable, and that's a big group to cut down on. same with the "-cha" family. just makes more sense for those kinds of big groupings to be storyline only (and maybe a temp character in korcha or something)

FF7 is in every way better than CC besides graphics and maybe soundtracks. Glad you stopped at Skies of Arcadia otherwise this would have been one of the worst posts in the history of gamefaqs.

Yes I do hope Break is better than Cross because CC was just a massive disappointment.

PS1 has a lot of great RPGs and I can say that Chrono Cross stands up to every single one of them.

Cross is a great game with some of the best music you will ever hear.

I like FFVII more than CC but CC is much more deserving of a remake. it has a great core and has a lot of ill advised design layered on top of that, where FFVII was more refined to begin with...really given what square has put out for the past decade, the best we could hope for from an FFVII remake is that they hopefully don't completely bastardize it, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

Chrono Cross is such a fun game. I honestly liked the battle system. I mean it wasn't anything amazing but it was still better than the standard just mash a through random encounters and spam your best spells on bosses. The story is kinda retarded, but in a entertaining way.

Even aside from my love for Chrono Cross, I hope they make Chrono Break and it's just like CC but moreso just to watch the whinestorm that would break out. It would be amazing.

I always gambled and went straight for 3. Now that I'm eleven years older and wiser, I'd probably not go that route again, but either way, it worked pretty well (surprisingly).

Anyway, if nothing else, Chrono Cross will go down as having my favorite soundtrack, bar none.

1-2-3-element the only way.
