https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AvxHjoIdpiozdDhfenhraVlvNlk3VkUzb0tFalMtYUE&hl=en#gid=0

This week's top 25:

2. Resident Evil 4 (2)
3. Final Fantasy IX (3)
4. Super Mario Galaxy (4)
5. Super Mario 64 (6)
6. Final Fantasy VII (5)

8. Super Mario Bros. 3 (8)
9. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (9)
10. Portal (10)
11. Final Fantasy VI (11)
12. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (13)

16. Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow (19)
17. Tales of Symphonia (18)

20. Metal Gear Solid (21)
21. Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (17)
22. Final Fantasy Tactics (22)
23. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (25)
24. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials & Tribulations (23)
25. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (24)

Also receiving votes:

14 - Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal
8 - Metroid Prime
7 - Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4

R/B/Y goes up after its impressive win, while DKC2 and FFX drop after their losses. Other than that, not much changed. I think this is the fewest total number of games that have received votes in any given week. I guess we're really starting to narrow it down!

I can't help but be suspicious when the final vote comes in so late, from someone who's clearly been in the topic all day, and changes so much.

Although due to the way you handle ties, it probably would've been more suspicious if he'd shoved a game between SotN and SMW as well. Still, accounting for more than half of a game's total points (well, aside from things that only get single-digit totals) is definitely strange behavior, the type of thing I'd normally expect out of someone like KCF...or perhaps myself.

It definitely helped that of the eight "also receiving votes" last week, four lost outright and a fifth put up a one-vote win over a 5-win game.

But yeah, it's definitely starting to come together. And there will probably be even more consensus on the top 25 after PW1 loses to SM64 this week!

My god those were some horrible votals at the end. And oh wow Sonic sucks.

To think that Half-Life 2 was in OT twice in a row, and lost to BioShock yet beat Sonic 3 & Knux is just...I dunno. Either way, Half-Life 2 seems like a completely different animal when it's the underdog as opposed to when it's the favorite to win, just as I suspected.

No motivation to vote anymore right now, thankfully for you guys.

And oh wow what happened Wind Waker? Pull off a colossal upset one week, then fall victim to a colossal upset the following week...yikes.

Okay how did Majora's Mask get into the RPI top 30 despite losing to FFVIII?

It was very close in the voting, but ultimately it comes down to the fact that some people still don't believe in FFIX. I think FFIX actually got more #2 votes, but RE4 had only one vote below #3 (a #4 vote), while one voter put FFIX at #5 and another at #4.

Still no motivation from my side to vote.

NOOOOOO SUPER METROID AND MARIO 64! AND T&T TOO.

Although wow, there's a game in this contest with a loss to Burnout 3 and yet a win over T&T. Wowzers.

Absolutely nothing wrong with featuring one of the best games from arguably the best conference. Off the top of my head, I can't think of another conference that can compete with MVP Baseball 2005/Killer7/Batman: AA/Metroid Prime/Halo 2. Granted the rest of the conference is mostly full of disappointing/mediocre/uninteresting games, but that top five is hard to beat

Goddammit. And of course the schedule for Week 30 is largely a secret, but I already know that almost any match that could reasonably qualify as a "rivalry" for SMS likely doesn't favor it. And on top of all that, due to a head-to-head victory it's still in fourth place in the conference, which means no easy win to be had in the conference tourney. It really looked like my prediction that SMS would finish .500 or better was going to come true.

--Brawl manhandles Viewtiful Joe to keep itself in contention. What about Xenogears?

Tales of Vesperia (Brawl for Broke Conference) (20-9, 9-2) – 17 (54.84%)
Xenogears (Brawl for Broke Conference) (22-7, 9-2) – 14 (45.16%)
--Unfortunately for Brawl, Xenogears falls to Vesperia, which means Valkyria Chronicles wins the conference by virtue of its head-to-head win over Brawl!
