Anyone hear Enigma's new voice, as of the last patch? I'm bummed out that he doesn't sound like DOUK anymore, but at the same time he sounds WAY more like he really should. Plus he pretty much sounds exactly like an Archon, which is pretty cool by itself. >_>

I do know they have it set up so you auto-join whatever channels you want though, so once we do get a Board 8 one up, it'll be pretty handy.

The auto-join thing isn't working out for me -- it's supposed to rejoin the custom channels you were in when you logged off, no? That's not working for me so I just added

chat_join "Board 8"

to my autoexec.cfg. Basically does the same thing as auto-join, so yeah.

I've only seen me and someone who's Steam name is the Konami code in there so far.

oh you need to modify a cfg file? Never knew that. I guess I'll research up on how to do that.
Konami code is silverliner from our B8 TF2 Tin team.

Also, I dug around in the dota folders, specifically one called itembuilds, and in addition to Bounty Hunter and Invoker stuff, I found files on Elemental Bane, Clinkz(lolol), Gyrocopter, Phantom Assassin, Templar Assassin and Silencer.
So look out for those heroes in the next few weeks.

Yeah, there's resources for quite a few heroes already in the game, with more added pretty regularly.
Not the best thing to go on though, Bane's been completely finished for like 3 months now and he's still not in the game. >_>

If you launch with the console you used to see a bunch of error messages related to Spiritbreaker too, so maybe he'll be seen soon too. I really just want some more interesting characters... Ursa/Naix/Death Prophet are really not up my alley.

You're making a new one. Inside...

Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/dota 2 beta/dota/cfg/

Make a file called autoexec.cfg (make sure it's not .txt -- check if you have hidden extensions on). Then add that line to it. Basically this file is a list of console commands that get automatically executed (hence the name >.>) every time you start the game.

I'd also suggest adding

dota_force_right_click_attack 1
dota_disable_range_finder 0

The first lets you right-click deny and the second shows effects indicating range on your abilities (which seem to be a work-in-progress so some are a bit weird).

Oh man, thanks for the help. Both those things are really helpful, especially the spell casting range indicator.
I'm willing to bet that bane's enfeeble or nightmare might be creating game breaking bugs that they still haven't been fixed yet, since they're such unusual skills. Just speculating.

Kinda weird cause for me, Steam just popped up a window that said "hey you have two free passes"

We don't have more than 5 in right now I think, and even of those the only ones who play regularly are Ness and myself, as far as I can figure. Even I've been slacking due to finals followed up by Umineko. >_>

On the price point I was thinking how LoL gives you the option to buy champions, and that's actually the most effective way of getting them. As opposed to DotA, where everyone has access to everything the game has to offer, and will probably pay for cosmetics and what-have-you.
