What is the current status of Chester? 1.1 and PC versions are currently complete. The XBLIG updated version should be out soon, just have to wait a week to resubmit it for review due to a small bug popping up. Hoping to have the PC version out by the end of the year, in talks with publishers right now. I'll keep updates about that coming when I have them.
What is this "Clyde" nonsense?
It's the current name for the next game I'm working on! Not sure if that will be it's name for good or not, but it's possible. Currently working on a new (and much more efficient) engine for this game, all I can say for sure is that it will be a platformer and much much larger than Chester.
Have the base for the new Sprite class all worked out, should allow me to go a bit crazier on this next title without having to worry about creating too much garbage and slowing things down.

About have the seamless loading of 'sectors' completed for sprites, working out better than I had hoped. Once I get that working it's onto programming the new platforms class, I think I'll finally add slopes. >.>

so since there's a 360 at my family's place I got the Chester demo and FINALLY got to play it!

the hint popup things were cool at first where they sorta scrolled into view, but then when stuff is attacking you and your screen is half covered I wished you could close them after you're done with them
only had like 3 graphical styles when time ran out but it was a ton of fun to change them. Definitely buying it next time I go home

Woo! And in 1.1 updated the signs so they're transparent when on the side of the screen. Hopefully 1.1 will be out by the time you get a chance to buy it, it's a much much better game than 1.0.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if XBLIG is phased out soon. Updating of sales data has been broken for all developers for nearing two weeks now and Microsoft hasn't even bothered to acknowledge the problem. They clearly don't care much for XBLIG.

Clyde run-cycle has been roughed out, might finish it up tonight. Going to be spending some time on the more boring parts of the engine tonight (Intro screen, more loading, menus, etc.)

Looks like it may fail. Someone failed it for experiencing a crash they couldn't reproduce that could have been due to their particular 360. The entire XBLIG review process (and pretty much XBLIG recently) is a complete joke. If it does fail the update will probably be a ways off as I'm focusing everything on the PC version currently.

Currently sitting at 66% on the review status. I think it's had one fail so it could still pass. Although it's possible that another reviewer failed it but didn't say so. The review process is such a joke that you can't even see how many passes/fails you've gotten.
I think once I get this one through review I'll be done with XBLIG.
