From: BIGPUN9999 | #001 Twilight Princess. 33rd best game ever. Oblivion 5th. Friggen amazing. Probably still the best 360 game, and it is in the argument for PS3 game. 999. No, just no. Radiant Historia. Want to play it, haven't had a chance. Ico/Shadow. Ico is good (but overrated) SotC SUCKS (but overrated). Duke Nukem Forever. I don't hate games! It's actually quite rare for me not to complete a game once I start playing them, Oblivion was just so boring...I couldn't continue after 4 hours in. Ico I have no problems with, it's just average, SotC would have be decent if it wasn't for the framerate drops, which kind turned me off to it.
I love Duke Nukem, I haven't played Forever though. They are all probably worth a rent out of the ones I played, except for Oblivion. Did not like that game at all. ... Copied to Clipboard!

999 - fantastic game.
Radiant Historia - best standard jrpg on the DS. probably best across both systems even. i can't say it's the best RPG on the system - Castlevania OoE and Etrian Odyssey 3 exist - but it definitely is a top 3, and a top 5 across handhelds. SotC was epic. I don't understand why people think that game is horrible, though I could see why it wouldn't be liked if you hate puzzles. SotC is really just a puzzle game where the puzzles move and try to kill you.
As for ICO, I will never understand why people think that game is a top game of all time. I can see the appeal and it has it's crowed, but Top 5 for ICO is a bit much. Really haven't played any of the other games. Oblivion would freeze my Xbox and never tried it since. Plan to get Skyrim though. -- Just that awesome ~InsaneOne ... Copied to Clipboard!

Opinion on the ones I've played:
Twilight Princess - 8/10, good game but one of the worst Zeldas, still worth playing. Radiant Historia - 9/10, amazing for its low budget, great concept, story and characters. Best Zelda
Great game, put 120 hours into it, and never technically beat it >__> Pretty good. I have a really weird love/hate relationship with it. You need to dedicate a ton of playthroughs to get anything meaningful out of it, but it's so, so worth it. Couldn't tell you. Both games are fantastic artistically. There are very few games like them. I'd say they both need to be played by anyone that has the means, though owned is a different story. Personally, I could never get into Ico at all, but SotC is one of my favorite games of all-time. I had DNF preordered, then backed off once I realized what a mistake paying full price for that game would be. I feel I made a really good decision there. -- Xbox GT/PSN name: TatteredUniform - SSBB FC: 1891-0831-5747 (TEETS) http://card.mygamercard.net/nxe/TatteredUniform.png ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'll try to give this as objectively as possible.
Twilight Princess - An improved version of Ocarina of Time with no real strong or lasting additions. Gameplay-wise it's a very strong title, but comparing it to Ocarina from the standpoint of exploring a fresh new world is a bit underwhelming. I personally didn't like it, and would suggest renting it before purchasing. I think it's only, like, $20 new now anyway so. Elder Scrolls Oblivion - You get dumped into a world full of stuff to do and limited direction on how to do it after a tutorial spoonfeeds you how to play the game. There's a lot more stuff than the last thing that had more stuff so if you liked the first stuff you'll like this stuff and there's a dude named Sheogorath and he does stuff and that stuff is pretty awesome. But really, it's a definitive WRPG. If exploration is your thing, you'll love it. If you prefer to get right to the action or story, while there are some workarounds, it's not going to be the best choice, and I would suggest something like Demon's Souls or Deus Ex Human Revolution instead. 999 - There's a lot of reading and trial & error gameplay to get specific endings, coupled with a few rudimentary puzzles and Phoenix Wright-like investigation to progress the plot. Professor Layton does the whole 'puzzle' aspect much better, and the investigation scenes only serve to pad the game out so that it can explain a lot of information. The story draws more on how dire the scenario is than character interactions/motivations until about halfway, to contrast with, say, Umineko. There's a lot of reading and an interesting scenario presented in a Saw-like fashion, but with an overarching theme of teamwork. Really no way to say if it's your kind of game or not without playing. ICO/SotC - Just play Shadow of the Colossus. There's really no way to properly rate Shadow of the Colossus. The game has clunky controls and very awkward physics along with an annoying camera, but its sense of scope is unparalleled. Basically, by the fourth colossus, you'll know whether or not you love this game or hate it. Personally I find it really freaking boring, but it's based on how much the experience as a whole absorbs you. Duke Nukem - There are better FPS's. Much better FPS's. But there aren't better FPS's that star Duke Nukem than Duke Nukem games. So if you like Duke Nukem, you can't get more Duke Nukem than Duke Nukem. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Twilight Princess: It's not as revolutionary or mind-blowing as some of the earlier games (it really is more of a refinement of the 3D Zelda game formula), but if you keep your expectations at reasonable levels, you'll enjoy it if you're a Zelda fan.
Oblivion: Never got more than a couple hours into this one. Can't say. 999: I liked it, even though I'm usually not a fan of visual novels. The puzzles are pretty fun to figure out, but they're separated by walls and walls of text. Its text-to-gameplay ratio is even greater than the Ace Attorney games, if that helps. Still, the plot and characters were entertaining enough to hold my attention, and you have a fast-forward option on replays that allows for skipping text you've sat through on earlier playthroughs. It's built to be played multiple times for its dialogue trees (for whatever that may be worth to you), its six endings (and even if you just want the "true" ending, you'll have to play at least twice), and its different puzzles. Oh, and I think it's already been said that the game s***s all over itself in the "true" ending. Radiant Historia: Been wanting to play this one for a while. Can't say. Ico: Never played. Shadow of the Colossus: Believe it or not, there are a lot of people out there (myself included) who thought this was just "okay." It seems to draw out some seriously polarizing responses from others, hence the game being called one of the best or one of the worst games ever whenever it's brought up. I've got my own opinions on various aspects of the game, but I'd recommend going ahead and playing it. Whether you wind up liking it or hating it, it's something that ought to be played, since it really is one-of-a-kind. Never played the HD version, so I can't say anything about that. Duke Nukem Forever: I haven't played it, but it seems to me that its reception would have been a bit better if it had been called "Duke Nukem [something else]." Seems to me like a lot of fans and critics feel burned that they waited fourteen years for what they feel is an average-at-best shooter. Another common criticism is the whole "the Duke Nukem style of humor that we all thought was so funny when we were in middle school and playing Duke Nukem 3D just comes across as crass and childish today" complaint, so keep that in mind. Phew! ... Copied to Clipboard!
